Eric Clapton - Take A Chance Lyrics

[Chorus:]
If I don't take a chance,
If I don't make a move,
If I don't go looking for new romance,
How will I ever find my groove?

If I don't play around,
How am I gonna have my fun?
If I tried to settle down,
Would I be fooling anyone?

I'm out on a limb above a sea of bliss;
I don't know why I feel this way.
I only know I love it.

And I feel so free today.
You know I feel so free today.
That's right, I feel so free, no matter where I go,
But I feel so free today.

If I don't make mistakes,
If I don't play the fool,
If I have to worry 'bout the heart I break,
How am I ever gonna learn the rules?

I'm looking for danger inside the sweetest smile;
I don't know why I feel this way.
I only know I love it.

[Chorus 2x]

    TheGUESSWHO22 not sure on the guitarist but Phil Collins helped produce this album. Heavy drumbeats help to support a really smooth classic groove. Great song, great album.

    August. 1986, the month and year Conor Clapton was born.

    M.... S....

    It was gonna be called One More Car, One More Rider, but was changed to August because of Conor being born. I guess he liked the title, so he named his 2001 live album that.

    Kicking it old school, love this album

    Kelly Gookin rich. Wholesome. Clapton leaving the blow and booze in his rearview.

    Very heady 80s progressive rock from Eric. Much cleaner sound. Brass and synth (and some of the funky bass riffs) give all the tracks a more substantial musical ambience.

    His guitar riffs are flawless and inventive, yet incredibly playful. And lyrically, I just have to belabor the word, "wholesome". They make you forget that one of Clapton's most well known songs is about snow... ❄️
