Eric Clapton - Can't Find My Way Home Lyrics
Come down off your throne and leave your body alone.
Somebody must change.
You are the reason I've been waiting so long.
Somebody holds the key.
But I'm near the end and I just ain't got the time
And I'm wasted and I can't find my way home.
Come down on your own and leave your body alone.
Somebody must change.
You are the reason I've been waiting all these years.
Somebody holds the key.
[Chorus]
But I can't find my way home.
But I can't find my way home.
But I can't find my way home.
Still I can't find my way home,
And I ain't done nothing wrong,
But I can't find my way home.

Eric Clapton Can't Find My Way Home Comments
We were there. The night BB KING passed away.
Can somebody call 911 . Damn hot mr Nathan
Clapton flies eight miles high
Nathans gift for Erics 70. Brilliant!! Und beide in bester Spiellaune. Glückwunsch an alle, die mitgewirkt haben.
Ок.!!!
Had a few shots and a few beers with this man when he lived in Ft Lauderdale!!
Must have had some stories!
Fantastic! Nathan East is a master bassist and terrific vocalist.
Sweet & beautiful rendition here., thank you for the groove. Peace be unto you
Tepid. Love Eric and there are obviously tremendous players and talented singers on that stage but this arrangement lacks conviction, just never goes anywhere.
It doesn't have too go anywhere.
Tom Vaudrey it's a great song turned into a yawn fest. Crowd's waiting....and waiting. Then waiting some more.
I understand we can all have our own opinion on these things it's just that I've seen EC do this song a number of times live where there was a balance of beauty and energy. More like the version off EC Was Here LP wherein he duets with Yvonne Elliman
PREFIERO ESTA CANCION CON STEVE WINWOD
Best version ever ... brilliant voices ... slow hand ... steve gadd ... bass ... sun goes down ... take my horse and ...
I studied Harrison Clapton all the musicians I loved I studied their religious convictions! And it all led me to the east! I became a celibate Monk! Went to India!
Masterful singing, I love the use of autotune on the high vocals to elevate the human voice. Not too little, but not too much.
Welcome home Vietnam Vets......
Tone down the backup singers just a bit. They are coming across louder than Nathan.
I love Nathan's voice on this.
Fabulous fabulous fabulous!!!! Tx for posting.
1987 the last concert I saw was Eric Clapton it was really good , this song is nice.
Clapton each year is more and more burned out...Nathan East rocks
Like Clapton said in presence of the Lord "everybody knows the secret everyone knows the score I have finally found the way you live in the presence of the Lord! Everybody knows the secret!
I remember walking through the canyon in San Diego when this blind Faith album came out! I had just taken some mescaline! So I was crying when singing this song!
Eric is incomparable, extraordinary, magical, for me, he has no equal ...
Nathan right on the money. Never herd this version Windwood would be proud!!!
terrible..worst version out there,,lost all its power n rhythm,,,,sounds muted..dead,,,,
Beautiful
Steve Gadd ??
Gorgeous.
Wow. Yes, maybe the best version of this classic ever. And considering Stevie Winwood sang the original, that's saying something!
Those Clapton dance guitar moves tell me he was enjoying playing the song.
👍🏻👏🏼👍🏻👏🏼👍🏻👏🏼
Poor Clapton is by far and large the most overreted guitarist who ever took this unfortunate instruments in his hands. But he is certainly the most persistant. Small wonder he spent most of his millions on drugs and psychiatrists and thousands of guitars. I never understood why great artists, from Jack Bruce to Nathan East, ever bothered with this poor, tormented soul.
You clearly have no clue what you're talking about, or.... you're looking for a fight, which in both cases, was a bad decision on your part.
Clapton literally did more for guitar than anybody else(if you like him, or not, he's THE man), from extended-solos(literally Clapton was the first to record extended-solos as a standard, without him modern-rock wouldn't have happened, guitars would've had 12-bars, nevermore(and yes, that's a pun for the people that get it)), to introducing the World to legends like Bob Marley(Clapton had the first Reggae-hit ever with his Marley cover), Clapton didn't just make great music, he created the blueprint for every legend after him.
Reminds me of last weekend...
sounds heavenly... awsome ..the best version of this beautiful song "can't find my way home" I've ever heard
Yes even better than the original and that's saying something.
all are good
Sorry but nothing touches the original sung by it's composer the great Steve Winwood....
Wow - that is a mesmerising live performance

applausi!!!!
That was great
Nathan East is incapable of aging
Absolutely to be noted value added of back vocals, expecially regarding Michelle John at the song ending, Great, rare performance for a vocalist!!!
Superb!!!
I love it always in 2019, 2020...
Nathan....two words...THE BEST...
I've never heard Clapton hit a Bum Note EVER.
THE MAN IS A WIZARD ON THAT GUITAR.
Saw EC for 12 years at Albert Hall and also other places. I am a musician (lead guitarist)myself and heard him play plenty of bum notes over the years. It doesn't matter though because that is LIVE playing and he was still great
wow!!!....
Nathan is God.. 🔝
Steve Gadd on drums?
Steve Gadd simply monster on drum🎵🎼🎶😎👊
goosebumps 💕
Goose bump material. Thanks Tonibox for this great upload
And Nathan is the original "catman" in his early videos
Cuanto virtuosismo junto...
Wow, didn't know Nathan had pipes like this. He's always kind of been in the background even with Fourplay. Have to see if he has any solo stuff out....
Hochgradige Konzentration von Spitzentalenten.
Its Magic.....Wonderful
Just needed Stevie Winwood to be perfect
That's some clean guitar playing....and Nathan east brings the rhythm....nice
EC always picks great mucicians to play with, what a antastic band they are!!!
Eric Clapton - electric and acoustic guitar · lead vocals
Chris Stainton - keyboards
Paul Carrack - keyboards · Hammond organ · background vocals
Andy Fairweather Low - guitar
Nathan East - bass guitar · background vocals
Steve Gadd - drums
Clapton lead vocals? Are you deaf and blind?

Nathan is so badass. Great singer and awesome bass player.
SPLACKA
East,Carrack,Gadd and god....wow
Steve gadd is the most overated drummer ever - where's steve ferrone's recognition!?
Always loved the tone of this guy's bass!
WTF ? How is possible to play in this amazing way ?
no-name your listening to musicians who know jazz as well as blues -- Nathan East is a jazz bass player ,,, when drummer Buddy Rich was on his deathbed in a final interview he was asked to name one drummer that could do it all -- his response "" Steve Gadd "" and as far as Eric Clapton go's , Eric has recorded and performed with Trumpeter Winton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra as well as numerous blues musicians and one of Eric favorite people. -- JJ Cale -- musicians are like fine wines ,, the more mature , the more finess
pure heaven on sound,i could stay hours listen this masterpiece
This is completely hypnotic!!
Yes Ben, completely brilliant. Nathan has been at EC's side for 30yrs now. Thats saying something! Great take on a superb song!!
what about the metronome in nathan east bass intro?
Big like from me, ask the ''admirers'' here again and again but I don't think they'll get it :)
That’s just bleeding in from Gadds drum mics
piękne....
What a lame version.
Superb...
Pure gold !
Es un clac, unico
Everybody happy here but this version makes me fall asleep. It lacks Winwood. Original version much better. Nathan not my cup of tea, sorry.
Don't completely agree with you, it's only different. Blind Faith acoustic version was great (I was about 15 when the album was released... 🙄) I personally prefer the mid seventies versions with the amazing voices of Yvonne Elliman or Marcy Levy. A very old french fan...
Nice one Idol king of Guitar forever
Wow, what a giant musicians!
Unmatched talent.
Nathan East!!! Awesome!!
One of my favourite songs ever. I first heard this when I was about 15 and it opened my eyes to music.
Same here. My buddy had older siblings and they introduced me to Traffic, Blind Faith, I'ts A Beautiful Day, CSNY, The Doors and many more that now escape me. When I heard this fantastic music it totally blew my mind!!!
