Am I the only one who finds this to be... cheesy?

More power to you if you don’t. I’m just curious. I was watching a drum cover by some guy named Anthony Barone, and that led me here.
Thought I’d check out what everyone in the comments was talking about “album of the year”, though I don’t know who is giving out that title, or why I should care.
But I guess THIS band/album was thought very highly of by the community, so it seemed worth hearing.
And I’m not disappointed, but only reminder of how corny this American sounding metal core shit is. Maybe all the metal core kids in my high school have ruined the genre eternally for being such strange scum fucks. With their metal hand gestures and such.

But yeah, this seems to take itself too seriously than I can justify.

The Rhythm changes, pauses, and double bass in this song is flawless.
I remember hearing this band a few years ago and thought how good their songs were.
Guitar player is absolutely nasty, bassist amazing tone and Watson seems to have a voice straight from the abyss.
