Enter Shikari - Constellations Lyrics
Packing the last few shirts into a bloated suitcase
Last glimpse of comfort and the ticking clock face
I swear those hands move faster everyday
I'm more confused than ever but I don't beg or pray
'Cause the sparkling light from the morning sun
I reach the station with just minutes to spare
Glance at my watch, time's going faster these days, I swear
Eyes focus up now to the train timetable board
There's only two platforms to be explored
And it's then that I admit it to myself
That I am lost, so lost, but you're the constellations that guide me
There's a train at twelve, destination "Disaster"
It's running on time as time runs faster
It's delayed though, it was supposed to arrive at 11:50
Platform one, it says "Stand behind the yellow line"
(That I am lost, so lost, but you're the constellations)
But I sit on the platform edge and just gaze at the time
(That guide me)
My mind wanders back to our oblivious existence
I'm all choked up now with the threat of distance
As the train bound for "Disaster" chokes up to the station
I don't board it 'cause I decide that it's the wrong destination
But the train bound for "Sustainability" is nowhere to be seen
And I'm lost, so lost
Where are the constellations that guide me?
And then I realize that
We need to use our own two feet to walk these tracks
And we have to squad up and we have to watch each other's backs
With forgiveness as our torch, and imagination our sword
We'll untie the ropes of hate and slash open the minds of the bored
And we'll start a world so equal and free
Every inch of this Earth is yours, all the land and all the sea
Imagine no restrictions, but the climate and the weather
Then we can explore space together forever
(And I am lost, so lost, you are the constellations) [5x]

Love this song
I don't know why but this song reminds me of my girlfriend, 4 and a half years of perfection together, this song just reminds me of 'that' look in her eyes
this song brought me to a daily base of suicidial tendencies to a pretty common human being aaaand my life is still shit
This song means so much for me. Im crying every fckin time but tears of fullfilled happiness. Its just like said in the song. We are all connected and we are all one and thats why we are destinated to love each other. There is no difference between you and me. We are all humans and we are part of one great existence. This thoughts are triggering absolute love in me.
The train has arrived! Ubuntu Contributionism is here. Finally, it's here. https://youtu.be/u27aFBwEKkw

Truely one of the most beautiful songs ever written! Well up every time!
this is the type of music that needs to be playing on the radio
absolutely beautiful its moments like this that remind me that this band is one of the greatest
Easily my favourite song of all time. Wish they'd write more music like their older stuff
nothing wrong in begging or praying .

My ex boyfriend made me listen to that a while ago, so many memories
I know that feel, I share the song with my ex some time before dating and this was our song also never let go of the microscope
Alicia. Same it hurts so much. He showed it me when together. A lot of things I can't watch/listen to because of it. I'm over him but the memories aren't wanted in my head.

hyper emotional song to me. i sing it almost every time i put it on.

This song is just gold. Awesome and inspiring lyrics.
The first three seconds made me think I was listening to DooD'Doo by Pogo. Which is an equally beautiful song.
I am now sobbing into a towel. Thanks E.S.
this song reminds me of a really nice guy :) aw
I struggle to listen to this song, i start to cry.
Edwin Davies me too. For me, it reminds me of the happy look in my girlfriend's eyes around the time we first met, realising that we'll both be each other's for potentially the rest of our lives. I dunno why it makes me upset, probably just because she's so sweet and gentle, and I'm the total opposite. And when I try to be a man in certain situations she just holds me and undoes my bravado by just being her. Crazy powerful song, this.

wow... *-*
I definitely consider this to be one of the best songs ever written.
Dick head
@Emma Lily You evolved cretin.
What type of song is this? Besides inspirational what genre is this and where can I find more of these kind of songs? Not trying to start a battle, just want to find more.
@FLEETWOOD JACK Been listening to them a lot :) Thank you
@Nick Mok They're EHM, I believe, and most of their songs aren't this soft. If you're a fan of hardcore, check out I See Stars. They're EHM as well.
Try 'what if punk never happened' by King Blues. Song has a similar feel to it
@Nick Mok Give a try to Architects - Unbeliever, Northlane - Singularity, Stick to your Guns - D(Iam)ond.
Abandon All Ships is pretty similar too not as pretty but they are awesome
The train to Sustainability may be missing, but the Feels Train is right on time.
Enter shikari are just amazing
Enter shikari are just amazing
This song came on my iPod this morning right as I turned east on the highway, staring directly into the sunrise. It made for a pretty emotional 5 minutes. Tearing up; I was so tempted to just turn around and get on a plane and leave my hometown. This song is what music is all about, a song that can give you emotions that you would NEVER feel otherwise.
@MrBigdiesel2010 that is awesome dude, congrats.
@Daniel Korman Thanks man. :) How you liking the new album?
@MrBigdiesel2010 haven't listened to it yet :/
@Crows Descend MLG
Daniel Korman the grass is never greener mate, I promise x
Given this is Enter Shikari, it actually sounds like a middle finger to the direction the world is arriving to.
@Millenmar Erese It is.....kinda. It's an attempt to spark change in the direction society is going.
This song is slow even with the speed at 2, such an emotional song
To me this song is about making decisions yourself and making the most out of life. Don't wait around for a something to change, it's not gonna. You have to be the change, you are in control
@Snvw You're on the right track, but it's less about individual choice, and more about a societal choice(which does start with individual choice). This song is about the current state of society, and our ability to reroute it in a positive direction. Listen closely to the lyrics. The song promotes true equality, and togetherness. Rou, the band's lead singer told a magazine "We are all alive in such an exciting time, we literally do have the choice of whether to start living sustainably or completely self-destruct. It's about that choice for our generation and the excitement and the flood of emotion that this brings. It's also about love and compassion and the force that keeps us all going and feeling like we have a direction, a meaning and - ultimately - a sense of purpose."
The only constant is change, change or be chained
This is so emotional to me. Everytime I listen to this song I end up crying.
Go see a doctor
@Emma Lily You are such a cretin, go back to your ghost's, orbs and while your there fuck your dog its probably going to be the only love you received all your life. You M'dear are a Bitch. :) xx
+Emma Lily Emma you're replying so much hate on every comment. This song and your shitty attitude is quite ironic, if you even listen to lyrics.
same here
Its a song about respecting what we have, being yourself and believing in your own beliefs. Big big big tune
A powerful piece of music. Stirs up such memories for me.
I'm not sure why, but this song inspires me to go on a massive adventure, completely unprepared and just live in the moment.
explore space, together, forever :P
The song made me a little hungry but other than nothing, fuck
And then I realize that
We need to use our own two feet to walk these tracks,
And we have to squad up and we have to watch each others backs,
With forgiveness as our torch and imagination our sword
We'll untie the ropes of hate and slash open the minds of the bored
And we'll start a world so equal and free
Every inch of this earth is yours all the land and all the sea
Imagine no restrictions but the climate and the weather
Then we can explore space together ... Forever
ill intie the ropes of hate and slash open the minds of the bored
Jon snow knows something. You should watch /watch?v=ZgVrbPWSTOA if you like Enter Shikari.
Listened to this song with 5 really close friends all frying our brains off on 25i. A truly magical experience watching the light speakers flash dancing buddhas and shooting stars onto my friends ceiling while this played. After this song we all silently got up and walked out of the hosue and all went on a very mind opening hike. Such a beautiful day.
This song is perfect to listen to while looking outside of a train's window, watching the scenery shuffles before your eyes, while the faint drones of the chugga-chuggs fades out slowly as you get more and more warped into this beautiful masterpiece. By the end of the track, only then you realize that your cheek is wet from the silent tear that sneaked out. Man.
Who are these fuckers that gave a negative opinions? Ignorant shits...
A Bowie featuring on this song would be very nice imo
Love to sit back and listen to this song. Like, when you've got all your problems running through your head, its like stepping back and watching the world rotate. :)
All aboard the feel express..
I know what you people mean about having the connection with this song. So many memories tied to this song.
I think everyone has a strong emotional memory connecting them to this amazing song...

Im not ashamed to admit that this song actually brings a tear to my eye. Amazing

Well, you get the message. So learn from this song. Should you die early, you'll have died awake, alive and striving to live on... it's terrible that we're all headed to our ends early at this rate, but it's not cause to lose hope.
Live well, live with fury whilst you can!
you oblisly love Oreos
I spose I can see what you mean, but nahh
''Depression brought me here''.
This is really powerful. Thank you. We did this song for poetry circle and I was touched beyond words.. it took me some time before I could speak.

Saw them live on Sunday, fucking amazing
