Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Jeremy Bender Lyrics
Jeremy bender was a man of leisure,
Took his pleasure in the evening sun
Laid him down in a bed of roses,
Finally decided to become a nun.
Threatened to fist her if she didn't come clean
Jumped on the mother just like a brother
Asked one another if the other is a queen.
Diggin' the sister she was a mister
Shouldn't have kissed her, but he couldn't say no
Wanted to leave her couldn't believe her,
So he picked up his suit-case and decided to go

waddajä?mean ^^ some afterläiph ünk like zöödiäG v v ?
I sang this song in front of my 2nd year secondary school class. Everyone thought I made up the lyrics, because in 1975, they never heard of ELP.
I hate having to face the fact that Emerson and Lake are dead and that Keith killed himself. WHY? I grew up listening to Emerson, Lake, and Palmer and Yes and now I'm gonna pull out my ELP records. listen to them, and probably cry. Tarkus was the first album of theirs I bought I couldn't resist the cover and I was curious. I took it home and couldn't stop playing it. I was hooked. That was 29 years ago. I also had some bootleg VHS tapes of concerts and TV programs and later got a few of Genesis. That was the best time!
Dislike this video and I'll pull your heart thru your ass
wöRph that vinyL ^ ^
Greg, a clear and brilliant first tenor...voice lowered with age (as all ours’ do!, I speak as one) though stayed accurate well past the norm. Chris, Oakville, ON Canada
Excellent
Greg doing his Beatles/Lennon thing with great success. Could have been on the White Album!
I recall hearing this song for the first time and thinking it was Lennon.
ELP were the ultimate progressive rock band, and really criminally underrated.
love you Keith Emerson. Thank You. for the ISLE OF WIGHT 1970....... everyone remembers....on the hill at the Isle...you were the IOW 70 .......and will never forget IOW 1970....love you Keith.....what an influence to anything ...you were a hero when we needed one badly, like the racing horse Secretariat......youre music will always ring in all of our ears, especially the ears of the gifted....wink wink......forever and ever........my racing greyhounds ran good because I played ELP while they slept during the night( Wonderland Massachusetts Northshore Kennell 1993...t......You were a tremendous musical machine.......and will always be there...Words cannot describe.......You will always live.Forever and ever...and ever.
I've been listening to this since about 1980 on and off and I still can't decide whether it's filthy or not.
a little bit , I'd say, not 100% innocent song . but I don't take much notice of the lyrics. + jaxxstraw
Rest in Peace Greg Lake, you were one of the greatest and prettiest voices in rock and roll hystory!!!!

If any UK based ELP fan guitarist/vocalists who can play & sing Greg's parts would like to get together and have a go then please message me here via Youtube. I have a lot of their numbers sorted on keyboards and also have a drummer waiting..! Hope to hear from some of you soon... Raffy.

Very short :(
It just doesn't feel like ELP, but the album wouldn't be the same without it!
A Flower?
It's a masterpiece!!!
@Patrick Lauer IF YOU GO DOWN TO WILLOW FARM
Thanks! I enjoyed it-haven't heard it for ages.
Well, I for one am glad that you did. I love this album!
