Ella Fitzgerald is one of the many musicians to whom I look up to. She is so inspiring and she breathes life into this song with her soulful, rich, and velvety voice. I really wish I had the chance to see her live ❤️

I love listening to, and writing about Ella. Every so often I find someone who has heard of her but never heard her. All the people I've turned on to Ella are blown out of the water then confess they're a bit ashamed that they've missed out so far on her magnificent voice. All were instant fans, and most started out with the songbook albums.  I still hear new things in her voice after 40 years of listening to her.  To me she is, like Carmen McCrae said, Queen Of The World. Sounds about right!
