Eels - Lockdown Hurricane Lyrics
That wind a-blowin'
It's getting strong
The rain a'fallin'
Been falling too long
Death rattles our window panes
Honey, we're in a lockdown hurricane
They tried to warn us
I didn't care
Said don't be stupid
Get out of there
And now I know it's much too late
Who will discover the remains?
Don't you see it?
We're goddamn fools
We always had to break the rules
That wind a-blowin'
It's getting strong
The rain a'fallin'
Been falling too long
The pressure in the house has changed
Death rattles our window panes
Honey, we're in a lockdown hurricane

her wig is so fake...
Hermosa canción :3 y el video tambien
Do you people seriously not understand music video?
Well...
That escalated quickly...
I like the new song...still up in the air about the video though. Either way, always good to have new Eels material!
was wondering why the beautiful people, artsy beginning felt so stilted. even with the heavy-handed "meth" references, i still wanted to believe. then it just got corny and gory, i think this is the perfect video. the song is awesome, the visuals make you think but in a negative way, critically. you know the characters depicted, but there is a surprise (i guess). mainstream, music video models (i might be out of touch. correct me.) don't have wrist and other tattoos. sexy music videos don't include dudes who look like josh brolin, unless it's necessary for plot. i think the video was intended to be bad and cliche to either compliment or submit to the awesomeness of the song. and there might have been some social commentary, but if that's the case, shame on them for bombing the bandwagon.
having watched it again, the plot was still pretty contrived, and spent early. either that or confusing. are we trying to trick everyone into thinking the couple needed to get freaky, rode up to the desert together, and then met a tragic end? are we to think they were the least sophisticated bonnie and clyde ever? i don't know that many DEA agents, but i assume they're dicks in some capacity (as we are). i could go on forever, but i think the artless video intentionally accentuated the song.
жаль что смерть пришла так быстро
хорошая романтика и мызкак подходящяя
hmm i don't know, is s agreat song and all, but the video, hmmm, just nope.
Amazing song. But I have no idea what the video is about
I think it's these drug dealers (or smugglers or whatever) who are deeply in love and have changed how they look completely to hide from the police. The Police still find them and shoot them.
I guess it's supposed to make us feel sympathy for those society perceives as bad people and see that they are perhaps loving too, just like regular people... and maybe we are meant to judge if they should be shot or not for their crimes based on what we have seen. I guess it's meant to give another side of the story, and maybe challenge how we think about people that are 'bad'.
I don't know, that's just what I think.
@lukenolan107
Yeah, that's pretty much what I've concluded as well.
I mean, you really are on their side because you've seen their passionate, loving relationship instead of their crimes first. Really changed the perspective.
This video is great, I don't get why a lot of people don't like it.
It gives me all kinds of feels :D
It looks like cops killed them just to take the drugs and money. You know what I mean, dirty cops?
Since when was Quentin Tarantino directing music videos?
Shared, of course, on the "Indie Nugget" FB group!
