for me this song is kinda describing a relationship that’s not good for either person, from the perspective of one of the ppl in the relationship. they broke off the relationship in a cowardly/problematic way but ultimately didn’t regret it because they ended up being better off without the person. at the beginning it’s more like the person is talking to someone & begging for redemption or mercy or sympathy. idk. but a lot of the song feels like... i dunno. like he made a mistake and cut off a person he was close to, then realized he was better off without them, but still misses them because of their familiarity, even if he knows he wouldn’t change the choice he made. maybe that’s just me projecting tho. i had a friend who i stopped contacting even tho they still wanted to be my friend, and i didn’t do it in a kind way. i did it in a cowardly way. and i miss them but i wouldn’t change what i did. but like yeah.

Can someone explain the meaning in this song? it goes everywhere in my mind

Chris Stover sounds to me like a love connection that went wrong and maybe it meant a lot to him or maybe it didn't mean much but he's saying he is a coward, they fell and couldn't be saved and it's all his fault followed by last line but I am I am I am not sorry. Guess he's apologising for being a coward in the sense of not being true to someone or leading them on/not being upfront soon enough in the relationship etc but goes on to explain; in his own words that basically it was inevitable, hence him not being sorry. I could well be totally wrong, that's the point with music, it's what you personally interpret from it although he would of had a very clear meaning when he wrote it, that's how I unraveled the message anyway.
