Dylan, Bob - Seeing The Real You At Last Lyrics
Well, I thought that the rain would cool things down
But it looks like it don't
I'd like to get you to change your mind
But it looks like you won't.
Ain't going nowhere fast
I'm just glad it's over
And I'm seeing the real you at last.
Well, didn't I risk my neck for you
Didn't I take chances ?
Didn't I rise above all
Most unfortunate circumstances ?
Well, I have had some rotten nights
I'm just thankful and grateful
To be seeing the real you at last.
I'm hungry and I'm irritable
And I'm tired of this bag of tricks
At one time there was nothing wrong with me
That you could not fix.
Well, I sailed through the storm
Strapped to the mast
Oh, but our time has come
And I'm seeing the real you at last.
When I met you, baby
You didn't show no visible scars
You could ride like Annie Oakley
You could shoot like Belle Star.
Well, I don't mind a reasonable amount of trouble
Trouble always comes to pass
All I care for about now
Is that I'm seeing the real you at last.
Oh, yes I am.
Well, I'm gonna quit this baby talk now
I guess I should have known
I got troubles, I think maybe you got troubles
I think maybe we'd better leave each other alone.
Whatever you gonna do
Please do it fast
I'm still trying to get used to
Seeing the real you at last.
Oh, yes I am.

Dylan, Bob Seeing The Real You At Last Comments
Dylan in the 80's was something special, doing things no one else was.
I used to be addicted to listening to Bob Dylan for absolutely anything, exercising, insomnia, House work, cooking, making love, playing with the kiddos, playing with the cats, being happy, being angry, being. I once put all his stuff in a box and tied it closed with a rope and big knots....I think I was nuts for his art! Checked out my compatibility Astro wise and it was very bad....very low..... but art wise he’s the man for me...then Rory Gallagher who’s compatibility was upper 95%. I feel blessed in this life for the best.....really the best artist musicians. The list is soooo long!
"What ever you're gonna do. please do it fast" Doesn't those words sound familiar, to some of you???
Syd Barrett- "If you go, don't be slow."
This is the Dylan I missed. As a child of the '70s, his '60s stuff was interesting. His '70s stuff seemed, immediately, even more archaic. I came to Dylan during his gospel period. Holy crap. I stuck with him, regardless, and have seen live four times. 1989 (Lake Compounce), 1990(Nashua), 1993(wherever), 1994(Danbury). The opening acts were unknown (maybe there wasn't one), Laura Nyro, Ani DiFranco, Patti Smith. Evidently, Bob has thing for kick-ass women artists. And here we are.
his voice hahaha wtf
Bad ass. 😎
Fantastic. "I sailed through the storm, strapped to the mast, I'm just thankful and grateful to be seeing the real you at last."
Dylan in this period at his peak in live performances. Too great.
"I've got troubles... and I think maybe you've got troubles. Maybe it'd be better if we just leave each other alone."

If they wanted to play with Dylan they had to be able to switch cords very quickly! Had to watch him closely! He would switch with a heartbeat,no warning!
Appears to be Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers as the backing band
I,ve read many times, that he was down and out this time, lacking audience, money, everything. But this piece is really great, maybe not flying to stratosphere, but solid, powerful music.
Epic tour. Saw them in Tacoma. Still one of the great shows I've ever seen (along with The Who, U2, Springsteen).
where can i find the full show??
:o great..!! havent you upload it to some webpage? I would really like to have it.
