This was my grandma's favorite song, at her memorial her family had the nerve to act like they knew her, when in reality all they wanted was her money, they didnt care about her until she was dead. Her brother said she didn't like music. It's been 7 years since she passed, but I know for a fact that she loved this song💕

the summer of '64. I'm fifteen, flat on my back after orthopedic surgery in NYC. On my little radio I heard it a 1000 times and to this day I still love it!!

With good songs there is often an association with me. At "Wishin And Hopin" my pretty teacher from that time shows up when I asked myself: Why am I not older - at least as old as this teacher? Then I would speak to her. Unfortunately, this teacher did not find out about my love and so this title got its own special meaning for me then and now.

Dusty Springfield- what an easy voice with range. opened for the Beatles on tour. Again, one of life's mysteries; why was she taken from us so soon?

One of those great songs of my youth. I like how Dusty sings it with that talent and charisma she had. The song is catchy and very well played and sung. One of my favorites through the years through the original was by Dionne Warwick as far as I remember.

Another of Dusty's great songs although it was sung first by Dionne Warwick as far as I remember. But Dusty had such a voice every song she sang sounded great. She sang with feeling and one feels it as one hears and enjoys this beautiful song.

Jorge, you are correct. Dionne did record the song originally, and it was her version - on her debut album - which inspired Dusty to record it.

@Jorge Mario Rodas, have you heard Jody Miller's performance (in Italian) of "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me" at the San Remo Music Festival? It was that performance which inspired Dusty to record her English version of the song.

This really the only good song by her I know of by her. “Preacher Man” not much. “The Look of Love”, “You Don’t Have to Say I Love You” outright BAD.
