This track along with the other songs in this album were flakked just because Timbaland produced it. Some true fans Duran Duran has.

DD has been my favorite band since I first discovered music. With that being said, I appreciate what Red Carpet Massacre has to offer but frankly have never been able to stand Timbaland since he shamelessly plagiarized "Acidjazzed Evening" and then responded to the original artist with "I don't know him from a can of paint. I'm 15 years deep. That's how you attack a king? You attack moi? Come on, man. You got to come correct. You the laughing stock." I'm happy to put a egomaniacal pretender like Timbaland down, but it's nothing against Duran Duran.

I really like this song. In the US, it was sort of leaked as the first single. It was the first song I heard from this album and I was soooo excited. THEN.....RMC is a disaster. Over produced and trying to hard to "fit in". HORRENDOUS! This song and Red Carpet Massacre and The Valley and Box Full of Honey and Tempted are good solid songs. The rest is unlistenable including that horrendous Falling Down. Fan since 1982.

John Rappaport I have to disagree. This album is actually one of my faves, and I have every album, b side, remix, etc. Duran has always been experimental and modern. Never making the same album twice. I enjoy this one immensely and can listen to it without skipping songs! I don't care for Timbaland and Danja, but the songs are actually very well written. I think in the future, this album will get remembered for the solid effirt that it is. 😉

Yes, the thing is, is that they are complaining about this album because they feel that Duran Duran is a rock band. What they don't realize is that they're more than that. They always have dance, electronic, and rock music into one. They always been that way. They're not a limited band. That's why they're able last longer than they did.

Carleton Paylor Right on! Those who complain about RCM do NOT understand Duran. They are a rock band has always incorporated synths and electronic drums at times even. Roger has always embraced electronic drums. He was one of the first with the Simmonds pads for goodness sake. DD are simply one of the most originally bands to come out at any time from any nation . They are special and have influenced more modern bands than the sad boomers who decide who gets recognized by that snobbish RRHOF. Duran blows so many of the inductees right out of the water! D2 are original songwriters and very accomplished musicians. Love this band

RCM is a truly awesome album to listen to. It's great. Does it sound like Rio or SATRT?? No, but they never make the same album twice. Y'all should listen to it again with an open mind and hear how fantastic is really is!

They lasted that long because they tried to keep up with what the masses like to hear. While others appreciate that, I don't.

I find it funny that people think of this CD as a bomb. Night Runner and Falling Down were solid songs and there were other good tracks. Now, Liberty, that is another story.
