Dream On, Dreamer - Ambitions Lyrics

With your heart in my hands,
And the ambition of things to change,
Do we understand why,
Or is it just so we remember our names?

Remember to breathe as it gets colder.
Remember to write as you get older.
Are you happy as your smile shows?
(To make this never go away.)
Somewhere, anywhere, everywhere.

How much longer, do I have to balance you,
And refine you, to walk with me?

To long have I lived with those that hate peace.
Another one and we can surely make it.
With delivered phrases of pleased memories.
He will remember those lines.
He will remember you, this time.
I built this all, with my own eager hands.

Never been touched with velvet gloves,
Or hatched in golden hay,
I've left scars in a million places
To make myself explained.

I sing the champion theme.
Only when you know it's real.

I sing these songs to express myself in feelings.
I sing those words to show you how my life really assists.
I sing these melodies to survive in peoples minds.
I sing those words so you can see and notice that I'm alive.

My words.
I sing the champion theme.
(My everything.)
Only when you know when it's real.
(My words.)
I sing the champion theme.
(My everything.)
Only when you know when it's real.

    DJ Johnson

Seriously.. Hope ep was the BEST

    Nikolas Lawrence

All true musicians explore different ranges of expression in their work. I personally think that their old shit is awesome, and their new shit is awesome too, and I'm glad it sounds different.

    Jake Robertson

Look at the lineup from this era versus now, tell me they're going to be the same band with no progression at all with a complete different lineup. Irrelevant comment.

    Adam Carter

Brooke Fab okay well ive seen these guys heaps of times going back to when they had michael and to be fair they have changed but look at the band the only original mumber is marcel of course they will change but honestly its not a bad change yes i love hope and set sail armada but their new stuff is decent

    Swansen03

    Sophie O

Seeing them live in May :) So excited.

    gabe willis

I saw me back in like 2011 or 12 right after their first full length came out. They were pretty good back then I wouldn't know how they perform now

  50. xXTristenBlairXx

I know for a fact that the 88% of people who disliked this song are not people who like screamo and just don't like this song, but are actually people who just hate screamo in general! Because who could dislike this song if your into to screamo!? lol

    Nathanael Rose

Well..people that like screamo for one. This isn't screamo. (I like this song, I'm just saying.) This is post-hardcore. If you wanted screamo you'd go find a band like Circle Takes The Square.

    Abel Valdez

You people think "screamo" is a genre. Smh.

    xXTristenBlairXx

@Johnny Jesus Oh ok, thanks for the clarification.

    Nathanael Rose

@Abel Valdez It is, but it's not what many people think it is. It's used very generally to describe any rock/metal band that includes screaming for some reason. But it is a real genre that branched off from the old "hardcore" genre. It's also quite an enjoyable genre.

@xXTristenBlairXx Lol np. I wasn't sure if when you said screamo you meant the act of screaming or the actual genre, so I just took a guess that you meant genre. =)

    Travis DeValois pst

Their screaming style remind screamo mate so people re confuse

  51. Reimo Teervalt

Those guitar spins, drums, lyrics and singing. Its just f.cking perfect!

  71. Louwrens Erasmus

so much better than the new stuff ..... :(

  72. AlchemistNzTv

NO! Not everything has been done. Never close your self like that. This band is fantastic, but you CAN still do something different. The bands that do this are the revolutionaries, the pioneers. And with anything in life, that is what we should strive to be. #sorrythatgotgay

  73. Viviane Araujo

Eu amo essa música loucamente. ♥ ♥ ♥

    Aeonine

    ainda ama? kkkk

  74. harryharryharold

Am I the only one that miss guitar and drum solos? these guys are good don't get me wrong and I might end up downloading them after listen to a few other songs but metal or as I like to call pop-metal these days seems to neglect the instrumentals and focus too much on vocals.
Seems only the super heavy bands include solos and that type of scream just isn't my style

  75. harryharryharold

Its about ambitions I think ;)

  76. Johann Visser

This song is not so much generic as it is the core and base of metalcore in my opinion.

  77. lightwithnthedrkness

Most Eps are usually better than albums lol

  78. Savanna Sutton

What exactly is this song about?? I have a few thoughts but I want to know the exact purpose. Awesome song!

  79. COSM1CCHEESE

Everyone here needs to listen to in august by dod its just as good as this song but noone listens to it

  80. Westbrook Lawrence

The "black guy" is fear, hate, aka, anything that will stop you from having dreams or getting what you want to get in life.

  81. Samuel Steeves

Actually, scientists in Brazil found a cure for a majority of the types of cancer, but the government won't release it, because as you said, they make too much money off the treatment.

  82. NØTH

The last part is wow *.*
    loved it

  83. TheSunday102

    this is amazing

  84. Mike D

If you're talking about the vocalist/screamer, he doesn't do inhales lol

  85. Samzwurld777

Nah mane. I work in the healthcare industry. It would flatline if they actually released the cure for cancer.

  86. Initial T

The musics is so damn good.
But for the vocal, you'd better learn how about inhale. Your inhale sucks man.

  87. Señor Delicioso

Pretty sure an actual cure for cancer would be worth a zillion times more financially. Also, insurance companies LOSE money when their clients make claims.

  88. Justin Keeton

    This EP > Their LP

  89. seigfried13

wow, the amount of misinformation about cancer posted here... if you know anything about cancer you realize how futile the fight is, i won't say it is impossible though. you can't "imagine" or smoke cancer away, nor can you inject a substance that suddenly makes cancerous cells normal again. you have to remove/kill it to keep it from replicating and in my opinion our interests should lie in nano-robotics for targeted destruction.

    great song/album/band

  90. Lance Walker

how does cancer have to to with this music video??

  91. Cole Saunders

Nice, I didn't know it did all that too.

  92. br4ve

It does more than just help them with the physical and mental side effects, it's certainly not a cure ALL cancer remedy but I'll inbox you the articles regardless. You might be surprised.

  93. Cole Saunders

Im pretty sure it can't cure cancer, but just help people deal with the physical and emotional pain of it. But if you have found articles showing that weed cures cancer I wanna see them please.

  94. Cole Saunders

They're all going to have similar elements because that's what defines the genre, but there are too many bands that sound incredibly similar to each other. Everything hasn't all been done before, I think it makes music much more interesting if bands are trying to create their own distinct sound and incorporate new sounds in their music. In my opinion, people have a right to complain if a band is just copying others and not bringing anything new to the table.
