The first time I went to England, in 2000, is when I heard this song at my friend's flat. I loved it, and when I went home and Doves came to my town in the US, I went to see them. Terrific show. I hope they get back together.

Heard this song a bit after I found them while playing Fifa 06. Istant fell in love with the band and 8 started my wanting to be British and listen to British indie fase of my teenage years haha. Many great memories taking the subway to school in Brooklyn NYC. Good times 😢

This probably didn't blow up because it's too harmonically complex for radio -- at least in the US.

Too many major 7ths and chord changes for the great unwashed. -- Modulates in the Verse from F# up to Gmaj7/Dmaj7=>Amaj7/Emaj7. Nobody without at least a little harmony understanding could just pick up the guitar and accurately jam this. Maybe why it didn't become more popular. Fan frickin tastic song
