Divine Comedy, The - London Irish Lyrics

They sit, and watch the clouds go by
And make believe it's Irish skies

They love the sun, but pray for rain
They drink to take away the pain
The London streets are paved with gold
For the London Irish

You gain the world and you lose your soul
Well if your picture is seen on the cover of every magazine
And every TV screen, will there be anything left
Of the London Irish?

They say they will return again
But they won't say exactly when...

Divine Comedy, The London Irish Comments

What I should have said, some time ago, was simply what a beautiful song this is. It is as beautiful a song as I have ever encountered and that my love of this tune is not due either to a love of Londoners or the Irish (though both are in their own part are entirely worthy of love), but the tune, my god Hanlon, you know how to touch a nerve.

    Awe inspiring doesn't come close...

    The London Irish!

the Irish are decedents of the Atlantans and powerful , this is why the vatican hates them, their DNA is the best. they have 98% the same DNA as the Egyptians. .
