They do

Similar chord structures but very different sound.. Sully has a totally different voice (more similar to Layne Staley) than David Draiman, who has a voice totally different than almost anyone else.. Also Disturbed uses a lot of strange half and flat notes, where Godsmack does the same but far less than Disturbed. I will I will say they both use drop D tuning a lot though...

follertdaniel considering that David basically freestyled his lyrics for this, it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that it has similarities to other songs, as a musician that tends to happen when you freestyle.
