Dispatch - Begin Again Lyrics
Night after night with the sound and the light
That comes from down below
The street sweepers clean St Augustine
And tired they head for home
Honey you can begin again
Holding it all with her hat and her shawl
She sways in the hall above
Combing the room for a piece of the moon
She braces against the wall
Night after night with the sound and the light
She sings and whispers please
Day after day he lies in the way
You can begin again
Honey you can begin again
You can begin again
Honey you can begin again
She breaks into his dreams
And finds his colors on the floor
Says don't you disappear
Stay awake my dear
You can begin again
Honey you can begin again
You can begin again
Honey you can begin again

Dispatch Begin Again Comments
Incredible.
This is exactly what I needed to hear. Thanks guys.
You can begin again, honey. Believe it. If you can just make it to sunrise - anything is possible.
We've got a new song to share with you....
It’s called “Begin Again,” and it’s one of the first songs we can demoed for America, Location 12. This track felt immediate to the three of us. Partly because of the music, and also because the message is such a universal truth — that every day we need to be reminded that there’s hope and room to begin again. That we can have a second chance in life.
“Begin Again” was also written with a few friends in mind who have gone through more in the last year than most do in a lifetime — like our friend Bennett D’Agostino, a 7 year old who has shown more courage in the face of illness than one could possibly imagine. We salute those who fight their struggles with such tender love and heels-dug-in tenacity.
Musically we love the charango in the verses and the mariachi trumpet during the outtro. We can't wait for you to hear this one. If you pre-ordered the album from us, you should have the MP3 in your inbox, but you can also stream and download it everywhere.
Love the passion and integrity of your music. As it has been in the past, it's both classic and new. You guys inspire and unite.
Loved your album release day In Philly, so happy to discover your music!
beautiful song.
Feeling the vibes super hard. Cannot wait for this album. All the love from Vancouver island.
Amazing work you guys, I can't wait to see you at Redrocks!!
This makes me a bit sad. When i saw the guys live last year they played a number of new songs and they all crushed (looking forward to 'Be Gone' especially). However, all 4 of the songs released from the new album so far left me kind of disappointed. They all have some really nice melodies and harmonies, but for me they seem to be lacking that magical interplay of just these 3 guys and their instruments. There's always too much going on, throwing in multiple guitars, banjo, brass players and a range of other sounds/ effects. To me jsut feels a bit overproduced and 'poppy'. I guess i'll have to hope this grows on me
That makes two of us. Only the Wild Ones is essentially a perfect song, but the rest so far are as generic as they come. (Of course, generic for Chad Stokes is still good music.)
One of you had a good ass. ha ha...for old guys, in good shape. (speaking as a contemporary....) Digging the song...didn't mean to digress....
Love these guys !
Everything in this album just feels so personal. Thank you Dispatch for what you are doing here. I know you may not read this, but your music has had a tremendous impact on my life and I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude. Keep tearing it up boys!
Just Discovering Dispatch after hearing you on Boston Public Radio. Went back and listened to some of your older numbers. You can begin again. And it looks like you have turned an interesting corner. Lyrics are beguiling. Acoustic licks are just where they should be. Quotes and hommages are perfectly in place. I'm getting some of that 'frisson' of hearing a group that is going to grab the world by the throat. 20 year history. Yes. But here you are. Wow.
you are on fire with this album. thanks for the beautiful music!
incredible! like others have said, I can't remember the last time I was this excited for an album release!!
Well done! Looking forward the album and live performance!

The wait gets shorter every day. Can't wait to share it with you.
Can not wait to see Chad and the boys at the Red Rocks next month. Your music inspires me to keep moving in this dark world we live in.
