Dillinger Escape Plan, The - Jim Fear Lyrics
Alfresco slapsticked foam mouth sunshine.
Jim fear has done it again.
Slash her and bash her porno freak.
Flaming hermit, lonely fool.
Throw another crap cake on the stove jimmy.
Or have you finished.

Dillinger Escape Plan, The Jim Fear Comments
It's a Classic. I remember liking Dillinger Escape Plan years ago and in Scotland most folk absolutely Hated them! I remember when they supported System of a Down and they were Booed, I liked them then. I remember when Folk were Ripping up grass and Dirt off of the Ground and they were throwing it at them at Gig In the Green at Glasgow Green. They were Hated . Gregg did a poo poo in a Mad Toilet Roll holder and threw it back into the crowd in a pint cup! Cans and bottles were thrown at them and they put on a great show! I liked them then. I still like them, I think it's great they stopped because otherwise they would end up being another crappy band. Well done guys
20 years later, this shit still bangs. This was my introduction to metal.
Jim fear, just an option? That's what I hear.
My theory...in its entirety...is that dimitri set himself on fire to record this song 🔥
They never ever managed to match this sound again.
The fact that Ben Weinman did all the guitar and bass on this CD is proof he's a musical maniac
0:43- 0:56 is pure awesome
Anyone else think the intro is the funniest thing in any song?
MY BALLS HAVE BEEN TRULY EVACUATED, THANK YOU FOR CLEANSING MY DEMONIC SCROTAL SACK!
Jeff Tuttle said in a video interview that this was the hardest song for him to play live in the band. "Almost the entire song is an insane barrage of down-picking, strange rhythms, and strange chords."
yeah i remember the interview, this song is hell for musicians who haven't already wrote it
one of my favourites from one of my favourite albums of all time. DEP were never better than this.
soyhard deren true. The later albums for some reason feel repetitive and Greg's voice isn't as harsh
i'm gonna give all of their records a chance now that they're gone:. peace and love my friend!
@starlodear well doesnt sound harsh. Projection does not mean harsh. Gregs voice is way more harsher and griddy then dmitris
The part at 1:06 is way cool
Rictus Rigormortis Yes
lucky fucker lol
jealous
Vacuum tubes, as in the kind they use for guitar amplifiers.
Saw these dudes in '99 with Mr. Bungle. Brutal.
This is still one of the most brutal songs I have ever heard. And they do it without using 7 or 8 string guitars. They plan in standard freaking tuning. And I do love the worst bass drop ever @1:55 :)
It could be worse. He could have called it "screamo". Actually, I don't know which is worse.
Ben and Jeff (when he was still in the band) acknowledged that this song is the hardest song they've ever played live.
You sir are retarded
This isn't metal, idiot.
Ooh you certainly haven't heard Sugar Coated Sour yet...
Really, though. Their new stuff is incredible and takes the technical cohesiveness of Calculating Infinity and adds an amazing sense of melody and avant-gaarde elements to make it a really rewarding listen!
@Strawspulled ... AT RANDOM!
technicality is only half the battle and the proficiency is in the broadining of the horizons of what most people would consider regular music. Music is sound (aka noise) arranged in patterns. sound refers to a wide variety of things, aside from melody and harmonies.
Of course this is noise. But who ever said that noise isn't to be a part of music? Harmony and consonance have been musical cliches for hundreds of years, and it wasn't until the precursors of noise rock started to come along that shit started to actually get interesting for rock music.
@FallingAlex lol exactly, despite being utterly batshit crazy i find the Dillinger escape plan very easy to listen to.
@metalupyourass111 it's really not metal. and no, i don't have any kind of degree in music or art. i would consider it Mathcore with Avant-garde influences.
@0wnage55885 Technically speaking it's certainly above average. But seriously, the song is so abrasive and atonal that anything can sound technical when it is indeed not actually that musically proficient.
@alex93metallica These comments are hilarious because they're blatantly written by a young skinny teenager with no arm muscle at all.
@Bkesal14 It's like the metal version of Bedlam in Goliath :D
@crassisdead THe new rhythm guitarist from DEP said this is the hardest DEP song for him to play.
I need this cd!! i've been listening to it too much on youtube.
@hamberg42 Lol im impressed with that remark. Clearly you are not a musical expert, noone thinks you are jsut becasue you know the term mathcore. Just stop
@metalupyourass111
So don't troll.
@hamberg42 obvious troll is obvious
@94sprite
Being an expert in music includes looking at things from alternative perspectives.
/discussion
@hamberg42 Well... Obviously- to me it is. And I'm the fucking expert at how i view things. I backed up my arguments, and so should you if you want me, or anyone else to consider your opinion.
@94sprite
It's not metal dude. I am an expert.
This really makes me wonder if Dimitri was raised in the depths of hell...
Nah, hes just a Grecian
@hamberg42 How can you say this isn't metal? It's just as metal compered to todays scene, as motorhead where at their start (and current) position. Just becuse they contain a shitload of hardcore, they are to me very metal. Just as Motorhead. And Slayer. And i don't get the term mathcore. That's silly, they do not use math in their music, do they? And they are more, they are jazz, noise, hardcore, metal, rock, progressive and much more. They are the Dillinger Escape Plan.
pure.fucking.madness.
This is literally like the most unaccessible album ever, still awesome though :)
RAW AS FUCK
this is a priceless painting compared to most -core songs and bands. and what a brutal painting this is
@SoftCoreSeizure? Marijuana? Fuck that. I have to Scarface a mountain of cocaine and rob a crystal meth lab just to keep up.
I'M SO FUCKING MAD CHRIS PENNIE IS GONE :(
more like mathcore. Mr.ernestbunble26
some douchebag told me this was emo
Calculated chaos. Best way I can descripe DEP.
@DethTones i am so fucking jealous, dude!
1:55 = greatest thing ever
FUCK NOW I WANNA PUNCH EVERYONE
I like to close my eyes when i listen to dillinger, theres just so much going on you really have to concentrate haha. Marijuana also helps, and the more you listen to there songs and know whats going on it will stop sounding like noise. Your brain just isn't used to the way they construct songs, everything about the band is unconventional and thats why i like it.
Kinda reminds me of the latest Atheist album.
@deviltelletubbie Between The Buried and Me and Sikth are more technical =]
@ernestbungle26 mathcore. not metal, at all.
@JohnC546 hahaahhahahahahahahahahahahaahhahahhahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaahhahahhaaahahahhaahhaahahhahaahahhaaahahhaahahaahhahahaaaahahahahhaahahahahahaahaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhaasaahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahahhaaaahahaah milk lizard... thanks son i needed to hear that
@JohnC546 Every sound is noise.
I like the song Milk Lizard from them- saw this one, didn't like it.
@JohnC546 the why did you search this song ( in that fact,search dillinger) ?
This is noise.
ALFRESCO SLAPSTICK!
i love how some people hear this as noise.... and i (blessed with good taste) hear it as art
How can anyone think this is "just noise"? If that is just what noise sounds like I want to hear more noise, and where can I find this noise? Outside? In the park? hitting the guitar randomly? No. No. No. Open your ears! this is great stuff.
sometimes it just sounds way too fucking random and techy :/
terrible.
@asasassify The more you listen to it, the more you will understand.
Trust me, it grows on you.
You get used to the extremely technical nature of it all. That's why people like it, and also because it's something different compared to standard metal and rock.
@asasassify we like it like this (me listening to it and enjoying it)
i really dont understand how people can like this
@Hypernl Good teringherrie though.
Teringherrie indeed!
I think it just takes a few listens to get into it. I wonder if the message is, SHUT UP AND START A PIT!
I don't know why critics like this album. It's just noise that's hard to follow.
i live right by "jim fear"
Wow, this is my first time hearing this song. I just found this band a few months ago through their last album. But this stuff I like way better. Drivelikefugazi and makeithurtful, i looked out for those parts specifically because of you, and they almost blew my dick clean off. Fucking incredible!
Too bad the vocalist sounds like ass. He's not doing metal vocals, he's just yelling. Not really following the beat of the music or complimenting it.
IN MY OPINION.
However, the technicality of this band is retarded.
It's like they took a set of dice and rolled them to find the time signature they would play in next.
Icollishaw The vocalist uses hardcore punk vocals, not metal
1:55 is always a fucking blast! Like what the fuck was that?!?!?!
