Yup orange brought me here. Going to miss that show. Looked forward to it every summer lol

Having a friend on death row for the past 23 years (most of which he spent in solitary confinement) and learning that earlier this year he's waved his right to appeal (practically giving a green light to the state of Nevada to kill him), the scene with Taystee brought me to an absolute pit of despair. I know he doesn't want to keep living like that, and I understand his reason to wanting to stop existing (God knows I myself tried), but thinking that this exact scene might be something that goes through his mind tears me apart. He is guilty of his crimes but he's not a violent psychopath who can't be reformed. Putting people in solitary confinement is a foolproof way of making sure a person doesn't get reformed, but pushed deeper into his anger until they self-annihilate.

This track and Taystee, Cindy narrating in the background, yup, I cried. Danielle Brooks just knows how to hit you right in the heart. This beautiful, somber track just set such a heartbreaking tone for that scene. Beautifully done on all counts, way to pull our guts out and make us feel things.

Yes just finished the episode I'm sitting in silence with tears at that attempted suicide scene thinking about all the times i wanted to commit suicide and the reasons why i didn't. and how i have to hold on to those reasons. to stay alive. to not give up. Just like Cindy said.
