Diana Ross - Mr. Lee Lyrics

One, two, three, look at Mr. Lee
Three, four, five, look at him jive
Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee
Oh, Mr. Lee
Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee
Oh, Mr. Lee
Mr. Lee

I met my sweetie
His name is Mr. Lee
I met my sweetie
His name is Mr. Lee
He's the hansomest sweetie
That you ever did see

My heart is achin' for you Mr. Lee
My heart is achin' for you Mr. Lee
'Cause I love you so
And I'll never let you go

Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee
Oh, Mr. Lee
Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee
Oh, Mr. Lee
Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee
Oh, Mr. Lee
Mr. Lee

Here comes Mr. Lee
He's coming for me
Here comes Mr. Lee
He's coming for me
He's my lover boy
Let's jump for joy

Come on Mr. Lee and do your stuff
Come on Mr. Lee and do your stuff
'Cause you're gonna be mine
Till the end of time

One, two, three, look at Mr. Lee
Three, four, five, look at him jive
One, two, three, look at Mr. Lee
Three, four, five, look at him jive

Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee
Oh, Mr. Lee
Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee
Oh, Mr. Lee
Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee
Oh, Mr. Lee
Mr. Lee

One, two, three, look at Mr. Lee
Three, four, five, look at him jive

Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee
Oh, Mr. Lee
Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee
Oh, Mr. Lee
Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee
Oh, Mr. Lee
Mr. Lee

Mr.Lee 🙅‍♂️ To bad the man who coined the phrase excelsior couldn’t be present here. The is hysterical 😭🤣 as it is a showcase of Ms. Ross vocal caliber🎭

  2. o.... ....

    This is horrendous! Lmao

  3. B.... P....

Terrible. And now bette Midler decided to do the same trash.

    B.... P....

+BRENO PESSURNO I guess "trash" is just a matter of opinion...Frankly I think both are great and its sad you can't appreciate it.

Watching this, it's safe to say that Diana had truly lost her way by this point in her career. It's hard to reconcile the Diana Ross of the previous two decades with this middle of the road shit. By taking control of her career, she ended up destroying it. Such a waste of talent. Thank God for the work of HDH, Ashford & Simpson & Nile Rogers. Creative & talented people who pushed Diana to be the best she could be.

I totally agree with you, @Paul Todd

It wasn't necessarily taking control of her career that ruined it. It was her not letting her music producers do their jobs. If you ever read the J Tamborelli biography, she was trying to do everyone else's job and she ended up sabotaging herself because she had no clue what it took to produce a modern hit.

+Paul Todd Or maybe she wanted to experiment and break out of her mold? Being a musician is not about always having "hits." Sometimes you have to break out and experiment with new things. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Considering the length of Diana's career, it is impossible to always be on top. Frankly, I think you're expecting too much and being unrealistic. Yes, this is different from her previous work, but different strokes for different folks. What doesn't work for you works for others.

Tenacious Me 🤣Agreed She has been VERY fortunate to have and exceptional creative team in her corner, through her long career🙌⚡️🎵😌🕵️‍♂️🔎🤗

I think this is cute! I wasn't even born back when this came out so I'm just catching up with her 80s videos and things now. To me it seems like she tried a lot of new things in the 80s, which I think is great. It shows her confidence in herself and that she listened to herself and not just other people. Who cares if it didn't become a hit, at least she did what she wanted to do.

the only reason i know this song is because...Phylicia Rashād sang  it on an episode of the cosby show with leslie uggams(the clip is actually on utube).....never knew there was a video....the concept of the video is totally off with the song....I picture more of a dream sequence as a throw back to a high school dance and maybe she is the entertainment with a girl group..or is that too surperems??

Nice cover of a GREAT song, but like most of Diana's post Motown stuff, it was the wrong song at the wrong time (for her). She was simply TOO OLD here, the jeans, the hair, the converse sneakers - WHAT were your producers thinking, gurl? Berry would NEVER have allowed such a faux pas. You did The Supremes Sing Rogers & Hart YEARS before (and it did quite well)- and classy material like THAT was exactly where you needed to be directing your career. Enh, live n learn...
