Such a great, infectious track. I know it was earmarked as the lead-off single from 'diana' at one point; still think this would have been a massive hit single for sure. Love Ms. Ross' vocal here.

Thanks Lee Griffin. I also might add that The EW&F album, "Gratitude" is rated right up there as well, and could have easily best Sade's "Stronger than Pride" CD. I gave Sade a slight nod by millimeters because of her unique Sound and a different flair that she brought to R&B, Jazz, Pop, and Adult Contemporary. There was no sound like hers. However, just Google the playlist off all the songs listed on the Gratitude album. It was merely all Jams on that Great Album by EW&F.

I love the break in the middle of the song. When this song was played on the radio the radio stations would say there call letters which was hot...

This was simply the Joint. It was an underestimated cut arranged by Rogers and Edwards which should have been released as a single. I actually still ride to this Groove. "Have Fun Again" gives it's explanation point when it fades out and comes back on as Part 2.  The" Diana" album is one of my Top 5 Albums  released of all time. I have to put it up there with Micheal's Off the Wall and Thriller, as well as  Stevie's Songs of the Key of Life album, The "Diana" album was superb.

Extended mix?? To be honest it sounds just like the original album version. I recall an album that listed her songs as extended and or dance versions and turned out to be nothing of the sort. They were all original album versions. What did I miss? Nevertheless, HAVE FUN is superb! Thank you.

+Christopher Dunn It's not a mix at all, it's actually the original version Chic did in the studio with Diana, before she took it to motown, in which the studio engineers remixed it for the album release. There is a CD (I have it) with the actual Chic original recordings/versions of all the songs, that were not release on the 1980 "Diana" album.

With out a doubt Bernard and Niles where the jimmy jam and terry lewis of that good old school funk.

@drkanubis Since Terry & Jimmy seamlessly began carrying the torch after 'Nard and Nile, one might say that Lewis & Jam were the Edwards & Rodgers of the 80s. ;-)

Awesome LP! Does anyone know if there has been a tribute to Diana & the Supremes? If not i think its been long overdue! They have been major contributors to the industry and helped shape the music landscape. Only asking because i just saw New Edition honored a month ago, but I don't remember the Supremes being honored. I could be wrong.

Silly people always use that as a trump card as to why she became so successful, which is ridiculous. If there was nothing to keep Diana "in the room", she would have been dropped after the first hit. She made hits for at least 20 years. And her concerts were longer lasting hits than that.

This song reminds me of one of my greatest Loves RW, thinking about you. Thanks Miss Ross.

I find this song to be quite an inspired masterpiece - both vocally and instrumentally! This is really good creativity and execution. Really, this sounds angelic!

Love her or hate,you still have to agree she was talented w/ a beautiful set of pipes--there are a few things she has done that were kind of shady, but who am I to judge...I still listen to her music !!!!

I've been playing this cd for the first time in years and it holds up 30 years later This song still sounds modern. Miss Ross killed it on this album and used it to launch her career to the next level. Goddess.

@wonderboyjoy Well I just learned something. Thanks for the info. However both Nile and Benard (their words not mine) did have an issue with Diana about this album. Media beat down set aside. They both were pissed for awhile. It is a piece of music genius though no matter what.

@kiddfunknyc both individually worked with diana...nile on workin overtime and bernard on telephone. diana, a few years back, was named a as patron...or something similar .....for niles hiv/aids charity. it is great that the album diana was released with the original mix a few years ago.

30 yrs ago.WOW! seems like yesterday.

This album would have been awesome to another degree if she hadn't taken the master to Motown engineers and remixed it on her own without Nile or Benard's knowledge. They said they would never work with her again.

I was a senior in high school when this came out. It didn't get a lot of play on the radio, but in the streets everyone knew this song.
