Diana Ross - Believe In Yourself (Reprise) Lyrics
If you believe
Within your heart
You'll know that no one can change
The path that you must go
Believe what you feel
The time will come around
When you'll say it's yours
Believe that you can go home
Believe you can float on air
Then click your heels three times
If you believe
Then you'll be there
That's why I want you to
Believe in yourself
Believe in the magic
Right there in your heart
Go ahead believe all these things
Not because I told you to
But believe in yourself
If you believe in yourself
Just believe in yourself
As I believe in you

Diana Ross Believe In Yourself (Reprise) Comments
I can see why she the only white lady in the movie to sing😂😂
Always makes me cry ❤️
I have been playing this over and over for the past 30 minutes. I'm remembering childhood, playing the vinyl record, being with my cousins and neighborhood friends, my grandma and grandpa - oh how they loved Lena Horne...This was such an important film. Little brown me believed because we played this damn song so much! lol I lost count of how many times I've seen this movie. So glad I came across it today. I needed this memory to get me centered .
The incomparable mother of soul music herself the Legend Lena Horne. Only she could belt out a song like this in her sixties. What an amazing talent that has gone unnoticed and unappreciated by most. If only the world loved you as much as Fred Sanford did it would've been a better place to live. Rest in heavenly peace. Love. Your fan forever. Elder Muncy
“If we know ourselves we are home anywhere” Very powerful statement!!! Especially for black people
I can not believe, this movie didn't do well in the box office.
Sad that google blocks it all
we sing everybody rejoice in my school chours
She’s a beautiful woman!❤️🇺🇸🌻🌷
She sung the mess out of this song!
Look at mom mom Lena 😚
I could've been home all THIS time?!
I love Lena Horne 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Lena Horne ladies and gentlemen!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I saw this film at the movies in 1978 I was 6 yrs old.❤❤
Miss Lena has finishing teaching, class is DISMISSED!!!!!!!!
Sultry singer always
The problem with the Wiz is that it was over produced and several scenes very ill conceived . Lena Hornes vocal performance is torpedoed by dressing her up to look like a Christmas tree with human babies suspended in the air behind her. What kinda drugs were the makers of this movie smokin! She deserved better than this.
Lena Horne, always gorgeous, always fabulous.
My Grandma would say "BLEVE IN YOSEFF"""
My favorite part is when she says "GO HEAD AND BELIEVE". Go head Miss Lena!!! Classic black singing!
This scene is so powerful and her delivery to the song says it all. Lena is legend, gone but not forgotten.
What a beauty what a performance and what a beautiful song
Is this really a movie?
At the end she can Hold that
Cmon! Believe what you feel and know your right because. ❤️
I finally found that she’s mixed. When I was little I wondered why there was a random white lady.
Me too LOL
This is the theme song to my life!!! I always come back to song for inspiration!!! Thank you Lena Horne....Rest in Paradise...❤️😘😘😘
the song is an overblown mess with Lena Horne hamming it up to the point of ridiculous whoop whoops
Who thumbed this down? Like why? ❤️
The Costumes were on point and Lena H is absolutely Beautiful.
Downloading this song and adding it to my alarm, so every day I will believe I can be released from this cursed existence.
I feel like this movie is WAY underrated. It's so good.
Incredible
In the 70's, my then-conservative father would let me listen to, but not watch Lena Horne sing. He insisted I would be scared of her facial expressions...
Oh, Miss Horne, you are a goddess
2:02...that pretty child looks like Blue Ivy a bit
HONORS TO MY ANCESTORS!
Besides Ms.Ross and the babies the rest of that cast are all gone 😢
🎶🎙 I BELIEVE 👠👠💙💚💛❤ Lena Horne Fantastic
Gorgeous Beautiful Stunning
Heartwarming 👑
If you dont believe in the power of God you never believe in your own power
Listening to Lena sing this is an emotional rollercoaster. So much feeling jam packed in less than 3 minutes.
Sing it Ms Horne!!!
I cried like a baby when i first saw this scene💕
Sonja Stoney 🤗 🤗 🤗
I no this song. It was in the 90
Wish Whitney played her part but she still killed it all rise the beautiful woman
R.I.P. Miss Lena Horne!!!
This one has gotten me though a lot of ups and downs in my life.
I made this song my alarm clock.
Goddess.
When Glenda sings That’s why I want you to Believe In Yourself Yas!!! And does that arm bend baby, I always slap my thigh and sing Yas!!! Right along with her!!😂😂. I saw The Wiz when I was 5yrs old and that part still makes me feel like I can do anything!!!! Ms Lena Horne😘
I don't know how old I was when I first saw "The Wiz"--most certainly was a young man in my 20's--most likely saw it on HBO. Was TOTALLY blown away by Miss Lena Horne! Downloaded from iTunes. Listen to it frequently.
My mom was Glinda in her high school production?
My fav movie!!!
it’s 2019 and i feel likes she’s singing to ME!!😭
I have this movie if you believe whew yeas
Goosies. Every. Time.
I've probably listened to this 100+ times, and every single time I get chills.
Ms Ross had to just stand there and see what a true diva is. And what a real singer is. She's probably seething with jealousy. I know she would love to have Lena's scene cut completely out of the movie
RIP queen 💔 🙏
As i approach 50, i sure do appreciate black art at its finest hence this scene.
Hollywood doesnt generate much black art like this these days.
What a classic scene.
Lena is so gorgeous and tall
Why is she considered black? She could have passed for white all these years and could have had even more success but decided to be among the black greats. That’s cool
She sings a song about believing in herself, and you want to know why she didnt play white to "excel"? Asking for a friend.
Sean White you she had to leave the country to even have a decent career, right?... it would have been easier for her to just pass for white. I admire that she didn’t.
“Believe in yourself woo! Yess yess believe in yourself!” That woo @1:50 I felt that in my spirit!
This song touches my soul
May she rest in POWER!
God this woman deserved the world.
This was a great movie, just came out at wrong time. They can HD it up, correct some plot mistakes via editing, and re-release on Netflix or Hulu. It could have a 2nd life if done right.
She took me straight to church
At first I watched this because of Michael jackson but I found out about great people like beautiful ms.Lena rip
This is what black america will look like when we get away from "others" uplifting each other believing in ourselves, being beautiful inside and out. This is what reparation is about real reparations, not another trick from our oppressors and their minions, only our creator can repair us. Thanks, Mr. Gordy and Ms. Horne.
She sang this on an episode of the Cosby show
Loved this
If you believe within your heart you'll know
That no one can change
The path that you must go
Believe what you feel
And know you're rights because
The time will come around
When you'll say it's yours
Believe that you can go home
Believe you can float on air
Yes, click your heels three times
If you believe
Oh, then you'll be there
That's why I want you to
Believe in yourself, yes
Right from the start
You got to believe, believe in the magic
Right there in your heart
Go ahead believe all these things
Not because I told you to, no
Believe in yourself, oohh yes
Believe in yourself
Believe in yourself, as I believe in you
This gives me chills in my soul. What a beautiful voice
The baby background lol
This shows that white lifes almost matters too.
Follow your heart and your dreams, nail babies to the wall.
I didn’t know this was Lena Horne, all this damn time.
We graduated from highschool with this song, still gives me goosebumps.
Am I the only teenager who is interested in this things?
This song is about MJ!
You go Lena Horne! YEEEEEES!
Awwww the babies are so cute😍😍😍😍😍😍
The time will come around when you say it’s yours!!!!!!
Pin babies on the wall
Sing it Lena!
1:49 that face deserves a meme.
bruh, uzo aduba's voice sounds way better lmao
edit: actually, they both sound perfect in their own separate versions of the song
Lena was a treasure I'm glad she was in this classic movie
Glinda

To think that all of those babies could be grandparents today. Wow!
lena horne comes to me in dreams singing this song to me... i know it is her, 'cause i remember the blue sparkles and warmth... i believe.
Bet...
E911.....eln...
.puffy....Canada.....
My Lord So Outstanding...
She oversung this but somehow with all her hollering it works in this context. As a kid I used to ask my grandma why she was in this because she looked white and everyone else was black. Was surprised that in this lighting even as a light skinned black woman she could pass as Caucasian. (2/3/19)
I cry and smile every time on this scene.
Proud family brought me here 😩😩😭😭
As great a vocalist and entertainer as Diana Ross is trying to make her up as a young teen girl is just beyond the pale of believability. Berry Gordy was so set on casting Diana Ross in this role because he had a relationship with her. Ridiculous casting nonetheless. This should have gone to Stephanie hands down.
