Thank you for this song and video compilation. Definitely one of my favorite Neil Diamond songs off his September Morn album, along with 'That Kind'. Your picture clips are especially insightful considering the World today and all the many problems we face and see reported in the News. And, one of your final clips with the auditorium filled with kids of every size, race, age and sex. Incredible. So, thank you again for this.

Thanks very much for your kind comments, I am truly appreciative. Though composed in 1979 the sentiments therein are sadly current today, some 30 plus years later. A sad indictment on humanity. I sought to emphasize this by applying current issues to this great song. The image of the kids in the auditorium was a deliberate inclusion to highlight the need for humankind to learn to co-exist in peace.

We choose to ignore the words of the wise philosopher George Santayana at our own peril - “Those who cannot
remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” or Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

In our quest for justice and decency we need to reach out and educate those who are less inclined. This song has indeed a potent message for mankind; one we dismiss at our own peril.

Carole Bayer Sager, Richard Fagan, Marvin Gaye and Bob Gaudio to name a few.
