Diamond, Neil - Put My Mind At Ease Lyrics
Darlin' you put my mind at ease
Come on baby, please
How long must I wonder 'bout you
Tell me I've been wrong
And I still belong.
Your kisses are colder
At least that's how it seems
You treat me like I don't know you
It's just like one bad dream
Darlin' put my mind at ease
Come on baby, please
How long must I wonder 'bout you
Tell me I've been wrong
I can't go on without your love
Each time we say goodbye
I think that it's the end
I don't know if you'll be there
When I come back again.
Darlin' put my mind at ease
Come on baby, please
How long must I wonder bout you
Tell me I've been wrong
And I still belong.
I can't go on without your love
It's gonna be alright I tell myself,
My love, no matter what I do
Well in the middle of the night
I toss and turn
I guess I gotta hear it from you
Darlin' put my mind at ease
Come on baby, please
How long must I wonder 'bout you
Tell me I've been wrong
And I still belong.
I can't go on without your love

Diamond, Neil Put My Mind At Ease Comments
I've been a Neil Diamond fan since I was 10 years old in the mid-70s, but I never knew this song existed. Did ND ever sing this himself?
the answer is no.
@tenniscollector thanks
"His melodius voice remind me to my high school sweet memories!"
"Cliff Richard is still be the best singer!"
Sarah Brightman's cover of I've been this way before is hauntingly beautiful
ii will loook it up when i get a chance janett--i used to know them by heart
4 ever my friend i have those also and they are great ...this one --this one for my money is neil's best that he didnt do himself.
Neil Diamond composition + Cliff Richard recording = winning combination!
i know mind me chirpin in--i agree.
@4evermore12 Percy Faith - Grunchy Granola Suite = Fantastic N.D. composition !!!
@4evermore12 Hi from Australia! In answer to your question - "Oh no no, I Get The Feeling (english and spanish)", "Solitary Man" and "Girl You'll Be a Woman Soon" all were superb ! I think another song that Cliff would be perfect for is "And The Singer Sings His Song". What do you think ?
Hi! I have 'Just Another Guy', 'I'll Come Running' and this one. Do you know what other Neil songs were recorded by Cliff?
Smiles,
Janett
Yes I agree. Many of Neil's songs shows he was (and still is) an intense writer and Cliff's renditions of six Neil Diamond compositions all were superb. "As if" would be another ND song i feel Cliff would be suited to (even now)> I take it you are also a Neil fan ?
Besides "Walk On Water", what other songs would you have in mind? Of Neil's lesser known songs, I would kinda like to see Cliff do "I've Been This Way Before". The song allows for a wide range of vocal expression. Neil's version is very emotive.
