This album is some of their best work i love Schmier the most but this is great

34:24 when your mind was free

this is a killer album, it got some hate back in those days. it is more straightforward, but i think that is the beauty of it, also more of a conceptual album, which has some more themed arrangements and effects. I love it, but back in those days it really was a bit much for the "thrash community" They were in my area of boston/maine/new hampshire really oddly enough accepted by punk rockers by the time this album came out. I do remember that. I recall many patches and jackets sporting destruction logos, and I was a bit young, i was more into the hardcore punk and industrial metal scene in 1988/89 entering junior high, but i was well aware that they were popular even here in the northeastern usa. I didnt get to see them till many years later in the late 90's when they reformed with the original frontman.

I bought this album for the cover of my sharona, this album got pretty popular when it was first released. Saw them in at a show in reading PA back in the day and it was a jammed house.

YES! I don't know why so many people don't like this album. For me it is the best Destruction album and one of the top 5 best Thrash albums ever. Fucking insane tech-thrash. It's like Artillery, Coroner and VoiVod mixed into 1 band.

AvntXardE another one of my favorite thrash metal albums that so many people talk shit is testament souls of black such a fucking underrated and hated Masterpiece my opinion I think it's better then the legacy the new order and practice what you preach

This was a great album - I loved Schmier but this guy is great too. I wonder whatever happened to him. Thanks for posting this. I had the tape, and later the CD... but it's not on Spotify!

My favorite Destruction album! They didn't lose a single step after Schmier left. This is their finest hour imo.

This is a great album but after this they became shitty. Their groove metal album from 1998 is laughable. For me Infernal Overkill will always be their best.

Great album, if you let go of schmier not being on vocals this is a great album.

i think it's refreshing to hear them with different vocals. not better, just refreshing
