Looking at this, it's pretty remarkable how they got Serizawa's character to parallel Oppenheimer in the first Godzilla movie.

Oppenheimer looks dead in this video, he looks disappointed in what he has created. He looks like he should have never made the thing that ultimately led to the end of the war. He seems like he doesn't want anything to do with this creation.

I've always been conflicted on the choice to drop the atomic bomb on Nagasaki and Hiroshima, I know if we hadn't done it, many more people would have died, due to the brutality of Imperial Japan. I'm as anti war/imperialist as you can get, but I don't feel bad for the Japanese, they were probably the most brutal force since the VIkings. They still haven't apologized for their war crimes since, so I tend to get peeved when they portray themselves as the victims. But in a way, I am glad that the first atomic bomb was dropped then and on those Japanese cities, and only because we learned the true destructive nature of atomic/nuclear weapons, It's better than the first nuclear weapon being dropped by the Soviets, the U.S, Pakistan or India, etc.. I just really hope we can learn from this moment in history, lets hope and pray that nuclear weapons will never be used in any future war.

My step grandfather was roomates with J Robert Openheimer at Cornell University. He mentioned that he was rather messy on his side of the room. I was only a kid when i heard this story. I hate this argument. Without nukes we would not even reach 1/4th of the destruction and fatalities caused by launching the actual nukes. It's a deterence sure but it's still a very usable weapon that can cause tenfold casualties of those wars WITHOUT nukes can cause.
