His music, the words and the melodies mean more to me than what anyone could ever imagine or know. He was so gifted...and his music was truly a gift from God. I loved this song when the album ' Spirit ' first appeared in the mid 70s and had all forgotten about it until I revisited the music I enjoyed in my youth and it dawned on me as it did all those years ago, what an outstanding piece this is in word and tune and what an awesome musician and person John Denver was, not only in what he wrote and sung but the way he shared his love, life, soul and being with his audience.

Another beautiful song sang by the most beautiful man in the world John's voice is pitch perfect and he has the most exquisite voice in the world there is no one else who can sing and sound so perfectly as John he can sing anything and he sings with such love and feeling and makes me cry some times as some of the songs are sad and mean so much and the words are so meaningful I wish he was here with us he gave so much and tried to make the world a better place such a gentle caring kind and loving man he so deserved to be happy and loved it broke my heart when we lost him but I have his music and listen to him day and night I am sad and cry at some of his songs his voice gets right into my heart and it feels if he is here with me I long to hold him and love him he is in my prayers every night I miss him and love him with all my heart until we meet with the angels my darling God Bless you John for ever in my heart love for eternity Paula xxx

It crippled me temporarily when I heard we lost him from the world that we know.  I instinctively made a memorial for John and two others that we lost at nearly the same time, that was hung in the doorways of my dining room and along the walls all in beautiful natural lighting.

Regards from Spain. In my childhood the old LPs of John Denver were almost always playing in my recorder. So, his wonderful songs lead me back to that amazing time of my life. I often dreamed to be in a concert of John but it wasn't possible. Anyway, his music stays and will last for ever and ever. God bless you for publish such a fantastic video which talks so much about the importance of emotions and soul in our lives.

I'm sorry you didn't get so see him. I was lucky, I saw him in 1974. I was only 14, it was my first concert.

This video was a blessing to me. Thanks for uploading it. I was one of the fortunate ones who got to listen to most of John's music while he was still with us and attended two of his concerts. He was a great entertainer and a fine musician. He will never be forgotten.

I was and remain a big John Denver fan, and I purchased the Spirit album when it was released. At the time, I remember being disappointed with the album. None of the tracks received airplay. Over time, it has become one of my very favorite John Denver albums. Songs like this one, The Wings That Fly Us Home, as well as In the Grand Way and Come and Let Me Look in Your Eyes, are all John Denver at his best. His death was an incredible loss.

Brilliant! Majestic! I always managed to see John when he came to England, can't believe it's 15 years since we lost him. There will never be another like him, thank goodness we have his music and the legacies of his many foundations.

Utterly breathtakingly beautiful. I loved John so much and I still grieve his loss today. Strange he passed on Colombus Day and was just as much an explorer of all aspects in life and did it so lovingly. I really miss him and just wish we could redo that day and his flight went effortlessly and most of all, he had a great time and went home to write another beautiful song about it. I may be selfish, but I begrudge death taking such a good man. Great job of the video.
