Love this group

I first saw this song while flipping through channels after school one day. I ended up stopping on a channel to grab something to drink and it was playing some Christian music videos. When I got back to the TV this started up, and I decided to wait until the music kicked in. Needless to say I had my Mr. Paperback order the album fkr me as soon as I finished listening and went into town. Been a huge fan since.

I love metal bands. They’re so diverse and literally talk about the bullshit that goes on in the world that everyone else is afraid to vocalize. Not the same ol sex and money bullshit. The fact that most “religious” bands choose to spread messages through metal proves so much. Skillet is another example.

I was looking for A7X's "Not Ready to Die" and I'm glad I accidentally found this video and met Demon Hunter

Several years ago when I was dating my ex who lied more than anyone else I’ve ever met, he used to tell me that this was his band, and he’d play this song. So this song was playing in my head a few minutes ago, and I remembered him saying that this was him and his friends. I said to myself, “I’ll bet that was another lie.” I looked up the lyrics, and what do you know-it’s an amazing band that has nothing to do with his sorry lying self.

Some say we shouldn't argue about religion. As a Christian I say we should. We don't need to agree with each other. But we ought to listen to another especially when our views differ.

What I mean by that is for some people it is not enough that they think there is no God they insist that everyone else also think there is no God. I think there is a God but I don't believe in demanding everyone else agree with me. Forced conversion is not only wrong but anti-christian.

I honestly find people freaking out about a band's religion kind of weird. There are amazing metal bands from many different views on religion, some atheists, some Satanist, some Christian, some Pagan, some Jewish, some are other views all together. I admit that most metal I listen to is of the atheist or Pagan point of view, but if a band is good, who cares? I grew up with Demon Hunter. I still enjoy listening to them.

I remember buying this 13 years ago when it came out... Ordered the album and had it shipped to a local Christian bookstore... the older lady behind the counter looked at it........ flipped it over... saw the men standing around a grave with shovels... "I don't know why we're selling this garbage"... I still laugh to this day
