That's one heck of a voice hard for other singer's to compete with. I think it's one of his best songs but I can't think of any that I dislike.

My favorite Delbert Mcclinton song Eric Burdon does a great cover so does Crystal Gayle.
Mike Zito has included this song on his soon-to-be-released CD, "Gone to Texas," and he does an awesome job on the cover. There are a couple of YouTube live clips available of his version.
