Del Shannon - Sea Of Love Lyrics
Come with me, my love
To the sea, the sea of love
I want to tell you oh how much I love you
Do you remember when we met?
I want to tell you how much I love you
Come with me
To the sea
Of
Love
Do you remember when we met?
That's the day I knew you were my pet
I want to tell you oh how much I love you
Come with me
To the sea
Of
Love
Do you remember when we met?
That's the day I knew you were my pet
I want to tell you oh how much I love you

THIS is so clearly a number one!!! The super catchy melody.lyrics, and Del's outrageous voice
Great version of this song. He sounds as good as the original versions.

covers are hit or miss - but Del never missed.

Awesome version. R.I.P., Del.
As I remember (and I could of course be wrong) peaked at #33 in the Billboard chart then the following week was nowhere to be seen - I don't know how that can happen but I'm sure I am remembering right about that as I followed its progress at the time..
デルがオリジナルだったんだ、この曲。
Powerful, passionate and so beautiful. Del could sing anything.
7 people have horrible taste in music.
Rip Tom Petty.
Love love love this song!!! RJS!
I love Del Shannon! I didn't know he did this song! I love the song and his version the best.
This was a long-awaited, although brief comeback for him ... It charted at #33 in early 1982,
making it his last top-40 single ..... From his album, DROP DOWN AND GET ME.
The entire album was produced by Tom Petty and the backing band is The Heartbreakers.
A hora do terror...

Del Shannon doing cover, "Sea Of Love" from his excellent 1981 album, Drop Down & Get Me, produced and played on by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Blog: https://beatlely.wordpress.com/2014/09/16/del-shannon-keep-on-searchin/
Goshhhh ... Del Shannon has gone ahead in 1990 at the young age of 55. How time slipped away ... grew up on his tunes ... how much I loved his voice and music :-) Tks.for the upload ... certainly 5 stars :-)
WOW
Wonderful music from a true superstar of rock & roll.
Sooo happy to finally...FINALLY find this. I've been looking for it for about 20 years. Thanks Rosie.
Del's backing band on this track (and the entire album) is Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (Petty produced the album, over sessions from 1979, 1980 & 1981).
Glad to know this fact. I wondered who was backing him up as the professionalism of his backing band was tight and added to the song.
Del's #33 Billboard chart hit (winter 1981-'82) ; also a "Top 40" "Adult Contemporary" hit in the USA and Canada. In 1976, he recorded an earlier version as a possible third single for Island Records, but it remains unreleased.
@samisunc Yeah buddy...............oooooooweeeeee
