I have said this before. I stopped listening to Def Leppard after Steve Clark had passed away. [ R.I.P Steve ] But Def Leppard has and always will be a huge part of my guitar playing world. The Steve years that is. Now that I have heard this song, I know why I stopped listening to them. They are a sell out to their roots. Just as Aerosmith was with what they had done. Country is to be country. Rock n Roll is to be just that. When I hear country, I don,t want to hear STEVE VAI on the guitar. And country any more, that,s what they do. The guitar players think they are MASTER ROCK SHREDDERS. They are ASS BACKWARDS. Hell you most likely could hear Leppard on the AM station NOW.

Love Tim McGraw ...but who thought to merge these two acts together?

I believe it was a mutual partnership between McGraw and slept. I love this song, it was one of the only ones I knew and it still kills even through this day. The people who are bashing or just simply not anything different whatsoever.

@Gabriel FSP Tim McGraw was one of those singers who couldn't make it in Rock so switched over to Country ...so I can understand why he would want to do something like this. However ...I think this is horrible. It's not about not accepting something different ....this literally grates on my nerves and makes my skin crawl. It's awful.

@Underdog and that's totally your opinion, that's what makes music great is what I find good you may not like and vice versa. But Tim McGraw never did try Rock dude I don't know where you're getting that information from. I've been at Telegraph and since I was little, even before I really liked country music I was a Tim McGraw fan.

Perhaps I'm wrong about McGraw ...not going to search it. I love New Country artists ....including McGraw. Had they did this as a goof I would be fine with it even though it makes my skin crawl. But marrying the two in an official release comes across as a ploy to create controversy for a failed Rock Band. The truth about Def Leppard is when they lost Pete Willis and then Steve Clark ...they died as a band.
The unfortunate car accident that cost their drummer his arm was also a devastating blow to the band.
They should've moved on and got a new drummer.
Not trying to be cold ...but without a solid drummer a rock band might as well start writing chick music ...which is what they started doing.


Def Leppard ceased being a great band when they lost Pete, Rick and Steve.
Phil is not a great guitar composer.
And for whatever reason they're not letting Vivian Campbell participate in the songwriting ...if what I remember Vivian stated in an interview 10 years ago is correct.


Def Leppard needs to start writing with Pete Willis and get a new drummer ....but it's too late for that.
Might as well continue on as a novelty act ....which is what bringing on Tim McGraw is doing.
