Deep Purple - Our Lady Lyrics
Thinking out of line just to make the sun shine
Anyway I can be like you
Fighting with the truth
Trying to hide a fool in a fantasy
I'm dreaming, lay me down and take me now
Hiding in the sun like a loaded gun reality
Aiming high at my dream
But I can get along
She makes me strong, anyway
I'm dreaming and there is no other way
Our Lady of the skies
Flying in the sky with a bunch of high fidelity
I can hear your song
I'm dreaming, let me go
Our Lady of the skies

I BLEED DEEP PURPLE 💜🇬🇧 Mark 2 forever .
The Long Version is better😙
Im dreaming
At their Best
This band is so underrated, all they seem to be recognized by is writing " the first riff you learn in guitar class" bet they're really proud of that.
what? it's one of the most iconic one.
A very melancholic type of song
DP at best, early 70´s was magical, best music ever.
i agree totally
I love this group💟
"Lay me down, lay me down, take me now, our lady of the skies..."
Major crush
If I had to guess I'd say the lyrics are perhaps a bit of a fantasy about an air stewardess with a few introspective comments about Gillan's own feelings about his life also thrown in.
who do we think we a re is deep purples most underrated or may be low profiled album but i consider it one of their best releases, its got energy the vocals mwaa and instruments and musicianship just superb
Sounds kinda of sgt pepperish
Forgotten Gem.
Probably their best album ever,
This was an end of an era song as the mark 2 lineup were about to split up
When you hear this song, you understand this is the end.
Lionel Alias 😢
So beautiful
sad song, sad ending of mk2
euro missiles 😞
Yes, This IS DEEP PURPLE
Legal, muito bom.........
Grande.
Mesmerizing organ chord progression, out of this world.
Great track and no Solo!
Good one, but not good for that lp and purple at their heydays..
With my S O N Y DIGITAL HIGH END HEADPHONES on right in this moment, it is absolutely amazing! :-) i like those 'thunder-bombast'.songs! Reminds me of the SUPA-DUPA- BAND U R I A H H E E P, which is one of my most favourite bands ! ! ! O:-) BERNIE/GERMANY
WHO DO
WE THINK WE ARE?
( time shows )
This is like Sabbath s Techical Ecstasy, a strange mix of quality and fodder that signaled the end
Shows, how dumb your music-taste and knowledge is !! :-[
Ya, we have 6 senses....
Count on a fool to qualify what they perceive
Just the same, what were you doin here, then?
Yeah, quality music, fodder critique.
Tem uma boa vibe
These emotions and melodies are just brilliant
By 1973 with the success of Made In Japan and Machine Head,Purple were just beginning to enjoy super stardom and could have grown even bigger but unfortunately because of Blackmores ego, Gillan and Glover left the band right after the release of Who Do We Think We Are to be replaced by Coverdale and Hughes, and nothing against them, Burn and Stormbringer were good albums but Blackmore leaving to form Rainbow lead to Purples downfall.
I'd say Burn was quite good and gave ppl a taste of a promising future but Stormbringer was a disaster by Deep Purple s standards
Gives me chills still after all these years . What is ut about 🤔
great song! sounds majestic!
Beatles
Never thought of that
Oasis, a lot
Purple? No
From Deep Purple Mk II's BEST album, "Who Do We Think We Are!"
sometimes sound like Beatles "Don´t Let Me Down"
Does have a Beatles sound to it.
@What Fred Said ...English, that's all. I love this band....
the only song I like from this album
You're crazy man this whole album rocks
Rat Bat Blue
Place in line
Our lady of the skies
Song is good but there is no classic Blackmores guitar work, this song doesn't sound like DP....
I think that was the whole point dude to make the track unique with no guitar solo
@Greg Hubbard his guitar can be heard throughout the song playing strong chords
Blackmore did something different and cool there (unlike Stormbringer... No wonder he said fuckit after that one)
"Cool" is the right word to describe this song.
One of their best ballads. :-)
Love the feedback at the start. I was very fortunate to have seen the Mk II line up in concert. What a show!!!
To me material wise this album is amazing. I wish it'd contain more songs. Soundwise this album is superior to previous Deep Purple records. But I love all Deep Purple 70's albums. All of them different and I never tired listening to them!
Олексій MusicVault I agree! Not only superior to what came before, but after as well!
Should have been a double.

Underrated song, simply brillant.
absolutely agree with you...
@Sake AkerlandI love it too
Undescribable G R E A T ! ! ! O:-)
one of the best gillan perfomance!
nikitsoss agreed
¿Who is Our Lady of the skies?
¿The virgin Mary?
¿Who can explain to me?
"Our Lady" is heroin.
I think so...
Our Lady was taken from the name of a church the band saw whilst travelling abroad, The title was suggested by Ritchie.
@Epictetus of Hierapolis purple was not into heroin
AIC , Nirvana , etc
You can't be a musician if heroin is in your life
the last track on this 7th album 7 songs some good some ok. good song this not bad. and as an album i think could of been done a bit better. thank god croverdale, you have people who say croverdale should not have been in purple and i say fuck you. cause it was not for his time in purple we would not have had whitesnake. i love croverdale more than gillian. just my opinion. but i love ian gillian whith his magic for deep purple. overall this album as it is 6 out of 10.
@kneelandpray2 I know it is Coverdale. I typed it too quick.
You also thought too quick. Probably as usual. This album is their best.
But I'll stay polite and won't rate your comment on 10.
Eklektik40 Lol, Burn is better than this album.
Nope. Coverdale sounds like a tranny trying to imitate Gillan.
I like Coverdale too, but it puzzles me when people like him better than Gillan. To me Ian Gillan is among the best rock singers of all time.
The end of an era......................until 1984.
David Cook 🥺
What a song!
Sin palabras. The great song of my favorite band!
This is my favorite song of deep purple
but unfortunately this song is not populer in japan
