Deep Purple - No No No Lyrics

Really hate the running really hate the game
Looking at them all I wanna be unborn again
Their suit is getting tighter although they're getting thin
The flies are crawling on their face and trying to get in
People say that we're to blame I say
No no no it's just the game
Must we let them fool us no no no
Have we got our freedom no no no
Is it getting better no no no
Do we love each other no no no
Must we wait forever no no no

Heads are getting stronger bodies getting weak
Looking at them all it feels good to be a freak
Their hands are getting closer they're reaching out so far
The greenies gonna get them make them serve stars
Tell them how it is and they say
No no no we know it all
The washing's getting dirty the air is getting thin
It's all in such a mess that no one knows where to begin
They talk about creating but all they do is kill
They say we're gonna mend it but they never will
Poison in the rain but they say
No no no we ain't to blame

Mark2's "Fireball" album was the most experimental play on the genre they created with their monumental "In Rock" album. A genre of which only they ever played. They were quite simply the greatest group pure rock musicians of all-time.

In a rather awkward way, the lyrics along with the brilliant music, may very well have saved my life when I was a teenager. How can I show my gratitude for that? I am sitting here now at 62 realizing this.

    P.... S....

Wow man, it didn't save me but.
Best wishes to you and yours.

I do believe that psychopaths have been running the planet for thousands of years and using religions as their control over the ignorant masses.
I have studied the extreme past of our races and I have come to the conclusion that there never was a creator who spoke or wrote or even appeared to humankind.
It has always been the psychopaths who figured out how to get everything for themselves by fear and intimidation and destruction.

Roger is the biggest star on This album, listen to No One Came he is thunder and lightning. Well all Purples are stars on this album, everyone is supper.

    P.... A....

Ditto! For me, Fireball is Roger's album, if I can put like this, with No No No as the main highlight. For me, this is his greatest bassline in Purple repertoire, followed by Painted Horse. The tone and punch on Fools are unearthly strong and heavy. Anyone's Daughter brings a more tasty and groovy line, showing his creativity and versatility. In the beginning of The Mule you have the impression of a locomotive running through the chords, flowing into a pace keeping that mesmerizes. In No One Came he is soooooo groovy, that you can even think of dancing, especially when Paice matches the conduction cymbals with the bassline, during Jon's solo. Roger is an amazing bass player and it's a shame that even HE underrated(s) himself, sometimes.

Incomparable Mark 2's most experimental album. Jon is simply amazing on this song.

  37. B.... K....

Not fake heavy like most stuff, truly heavy and grooving like no band in 40 years could

  38. G.... H....

this and in rock ,top and the best Deep purple have done, just my opinion, love it.

  39. D.... W....

Paice, Lord, Glover, Blackmore and Gillan were the best rock band ever, no competition. Floyd were their equals, but a different genre.

    D.... W....

Mark 2 created their own genre with the monumental "In Rock" album. A genre of which only they ever played. They were quire simply the greatest group of pure rock musicians ever.

  45. B.... ....

Great, great album, underappreciated now.  This was a very important record to my musical formation.  Some people like the MkII lineup as appears here, others the MKIII lineup with David Coverdale, Glenn Hughes and briefly, Tommy Bolin.  Put me squarely in the MKII camp.

  46. C.... R....

  49. M.... A....

this song is more relevant now than ever

  50. A.... T....

Back when bands could be heavy and hold down a fucking groove. Modern hard Rock needs to learn to be groovy

    A.... T....

Andy Thunders nowadays its all technical proficiency. I can't feel most of it

    A.... T....

I think you'd like the right Muse songs, based on what you wanna see in modern hard rock. Check out Darkshines, Reapers, Exo-Politics and of course The Groove(live).

One thing to keep in mind with Muse, although it is only a 3- member band, they add lots of layers to heir music, so headphones would make a better impression on these songs if you try them out.

    A.... T....

    That's because it's blues based.

  51. J.... ....

Roger Glover, a genius. Just like the other four purples. Pure pleasure.

    J.... ....

Totally agree! And today it's his birthday. Long live, Rog!

    J.... ....

The most under-rated guy in a band of phenoms.

  52. K.... S....

Purple changed ahead of times. Blackmore plays it all Classical Blue's,Jazz.was first real hard Rock metal thrash speed guitarist And plays some county stuff on Any Ones Daughter and med evil sounds and stuff I can't name. He is a creative genius.

    K.... S....

    med evil :-)
    'county' stuff? whats that then?

    K.... S....

    What an ass....
    Obvious its
    COUNTRY
    and
    MEDIEVAL

  53. G.... J....

It's Deep Purple sounding great even when they're PO'd and flipping it to the management.

  54. G.... ....

One of Purple best songs from any era. They've played Fools live in recent years - maybe this one would sound good too.

  59. m.... ....

One of the first true rock bands with a true hard edge I think they are really great. I still think wish bone ash is my favorite

  60. C.... ....

Swanky Hard Rock ... awesome stuff, but almost a lost genre … mostly because so few bands can swing like Purple & Hendrix.

  61. S.... S....

it's 2016 and 1 dumbass dislikes this lol

Don't make my mistake and not know you loved them till they are gone?

  63. a.... t....

    Roger bassline is super

    a.... t....

I met Roger in a record store in Long Island in 1979 along with Don Awrey and Graham Bonnett. Roger was a perfect match for Deep Purple. He and Paice held together the best muscians I've ever heard in my life.

    a.... t....

Beat me to it by 3 years.

  64. j.... ....

    Seriously excellent.....

  65. R.... F....

Exzellent!!! Super das Solo von Blackmore!!!

  66. n.... ....

    i love this bass!

  67. M.... J....

i love this song.. one of their best..

  68. K.... G....

I must be in minority here but I think Lord's solo is the best thing in this song.

    K.... G....

Every now and then, somebody makes a post that shows they at least have a clue. Make no mistakes about it. Jon Lord was the real musical genius of this band. That said, they were all great, but Lord was the mastermind behind all of their Classical Fusion work. And to be sure here, there were many more of these than Concerto for Guitar and Violin. Did you know that the group was originally being formed to support the drummer from the Ventures? Allegedly, he supposedly took one look at some of the musicians Lord was auditioning, knew something was up, because he didn't think he could hang with any of them, and split.

I don't know why the only name you ever seem to hear associated with them is Blackmore. Take one look at the credit for their music on any album, and it's always the same. Blackmore, Gillain, Glover, Lord, Paice. They always shared equal credit, so they were not pushed by an egomaniac like everybody claims. Yes, Gillain and Blackmore often clashed, leading to both of them leaving the band a few times. But that's just musicians. However, the ultra mellow, laid back Lord was the one who seemed to have the most latitude when you would see one of their concerts, and if you have heard many of his symphonies, you know the reason why. Not only was he gifted, it was almost like he was a gift ............ to music. The man was a genius, and he had a huge impact on many genres.

    K.... G....

Lord is just perfect here. The build up is sublime.

    K.... G....

    Really?
Its a good solo. I especially like the build up at the end, and the guitar riff that comes right after it is the best part of the song in my opinion. But best Jon Lord solo? I strongly disagree. I think April and Anthem have the best solos from Lord.
I don't know if I'd consider Child in Time's keyboard segments to be solos, but I would say Bloodsucker Highway Star and Lazy are all amongst the best as well.
Jon Lord was a musical genius, I personally like his classical stuff the best, which is why my personal favorite solos from him are Anthem and April.
    You should check them out.

    K.... G....

Best thing in this song, not Jon's best solo. For me, the best thing about this song is the "freak" line, a lyric that I would love to add to my headstone when the time comes. But of course the whole song is pure brilliance!

    K.... G....

@SnakeEater866 You should really learn to read with understanding before posting essays like this. I never said it was his best solo. Also assuming I don't know Anthem or April - shocking! :-)

  69. T.... H....

    Great music!!! Blackmore - super!!!

  70. A.... D....

    Great rock!!!!!! Great Blackmore!!!!

  71. r.... b....

Do I like this? Yes yes yes!

How would an argument between James Hertfield and Ian Gillan go?
    "YEEEEAAHH....YEAH....YEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH"
    "NO NO NO"

    r.... b....

    Yes Yes Yes definitely

  72. j.... a....

    1:37 Pure bliss!

  73. M.... G....

This is amongst the tastiest, sleaziest, most brilliantly placed lead rock guitar that has ever been captured on tape.  Anyone care to disagree? nonono, yesyesyes?

    M.... G....

I don't know if it's one of the best, but it sure is pretty damn sweet! Ritchie's got the Hendrix thing going, which I always thought he was good at. Anyway, it's such a good riff! I have to get this album now! Long live the neck pickup!

    M.... G....

Saying That Blackmore had a Hendrix thing going doesn't make sense.. do the Math ...Blackmore was out playing and in the radio when Hendrix was still just coming up

    M.... G....

It's a blues thing; one guy borrows licks from the other. Ritchie was great because he ripped of from the best.

    M.... G....

Lets not forget Roger Glover on the bass. It's easy to overlook his lead parts because all the lead bass is during vocals, while Ritchie goes to rhythm, and back to lead during chill instrumentals.
This song is so brilliant. People who only pay attention to vocals, and lyrics will see this as a standard typical 70's rock song, but man it is such a creative work of art.

    M.... G....

Richie used an old Synthi Hi Fli an early guitar synth on this track. Very unreliable. I have seen him destroy a few when they failed! Lol! Great solo though!

  74. S.... ....

Que buenos recuerdos , me acuerdo que mis hermanos y yo no los tripiabamos en aquella época,  tiempos que nunca vendrán.

When I listen to Led Zeppelin, I think John Bonham is the best drummer ever (hands down), then when I listen to Deep Purple, I think Ian Pace is the best drummer (hands down).
