Agree. Over the decades, this one was my least fav (but I liked it), now my favorite recently. When I was a kid never thought I would like any other song here over Highway Star. Boy was I wrong! Every song Grade A

My 1st experience of boogie rock and/or early hard rock was in Europe in the early '70s Deep Purple, Foghat, Status Quo, The Sweet, Mott The Hoople &T. Rex ruled the jukeboxes. 1st heard Maybe I'm a Leo at a club - I think called the Casinillo, in Sevilla, Spain. Good times.

Airton Parra há muitas vozes bonitas no rock ms na minha opinião Gillan é insuperável. Acho incrível sua interpretação em Smoke On The Water e Child in Time, essa música me faz chorar. Vc já viu o vídeo Concerto para Grupo e Orquestra, onde ele canta sem nenhum apoio, só ele e sua voz? E em Jesus Cristo Superstar (onde ele é a voz de ninguém menos do que Jesus). O cara é realmente de outro planeta! Eu citei Smoke e Child, ms gosto de tudo que ele canta. Gosto do Led Zeppelin também, o Robert Plant é ótimo, bonito e sexy ms a voz e o carisma do Gillan não tem concorrentes!

Roger Glover wrote the riff for this excellent track. I remember he mentioned Lennon's How Do You Sleep? in an old interview and how he wanted to do something that started on the down beat. They played this song on the 1972 tour and also the 1996 one.

I´m feeling like each and every word of this song, including being a Leo (whatever the hell that means).

one of the old scho0l metal bands... more to heavy metal than some asshole who couldn't carry a note in a wheel barrow, supported by lack of a talented guitarists, filled in with base reflex track so distorted as to be unrecognizable as music.... kids today don't know what metal is.

Saw Deep Purple on the Machine Head tour.. they played on the Boston Common and it was the loudest concert recorded.

Not true. In 1972 and for a few years after, Grand Funk had the record for the loudest concert...

That was a debate going on back then.No-one need to dispute that Grand Funk Railroad was loud in the early seventies, but so was indeed Deep Purple. When Purple played the Rainbow Theatre in Finsbury Park in north London in the summer of '72, people from the British Noise Abatement Society were present with some decibel-o-meters. 50 yards from the stage, they measured up to 117 decibels at that concert. That's allmost approaching first generation jetliners at take-off. It went into the Guinnes Book of World Records, and wasn't officially beaten until The Who's gig at Charlton Football Field in May 1976, which was an outdoor gig to boot, with tens of thousands in the audience (reportedly approx 80 000 in a stadium with a maximum 50 000 capasity, which is a story onto itself, i suppose...).
