Bought Deep Purple in Rock in 1970 and inmediately this album was one of my favorites, and still is.

Mark2 was quite simply the greatest group of pure rock musicians ever.

i have listened many famous rock bands especially in the 60s but this album beside being the best i have ever listened i think no band will ever created music such as this album.

Just listen to the bass, the drumming, organ and guitar and not least Ian's voice. You will not hear anything else quite like it. Individually brilliant, together just magic! Pure rock.

What a magnificent rock song. Mark 2 at their incomparable best. Their first four albums were each entirely group compositions.

Even if mankind will be destroyed, Deep Purple's music will never cease to exist.

Listen to this five times and concentrate on a different member each time and you then appreciate how one of a kind good these five really were.

One of Mark 2's best songs. Would qualify for their all-time double album.

Amazingly enough Paice may have been the best of the five and that's really saying something. He was the only constant during the entire time and he always seemed to be correct with his enormous contributions.

Why the "big G" ??

The G spot refers to a spot on a woman''s privates. so if they call her big G I believe it's because she has a reputation for sleeping around. Or there's G strings that women wear and if she's been sleeping around well the G string has to be larger. You get the idea.

Raw, Hard, Tight Bad ass riot music. Deep Purple went their own way. Fans of them are few, because only a few get what they were saying.

This album came through a stargate on the way to Hendrix land.

The middle section of the song was repeated in the Bad attitude song in 1987, classic DP motif.

Songs like this are helping me like this album more, but In Rock will always be one of my least fave of DP's 1st 8 albums; trouble is 1st 3 albums (pre Gillan Glover) r so strong & so are #'s 5,6,8.

This song has it all and I mean it has it all for a hard rock tune. God damn...great. What a riff, different drumming patterns from Paice rather than the usual high hat action. Wow! Great riffs by all players.

After all these years.. I still ask myself how Mr. Blackmore played that solo... Iv`e seen a few guitar covers here on youtube and none did ever even come close to that sinister atmosphere you can feel - Living Wreck is next to "Child in Time" my absolute favourite, as it paints an accurate picture of an ugly figure.( Person)
