Davis Jr., Sammy - Too Close For Comfort Lyrics

Be firm, be fair, be sure, beware
On your guard take care
While there's such temptation
One thing will lead to another
Too late to run for cover
She's much too close for comfort now

Be wise, be smart, behave my heart
Don't upset your cart when she's so close
Be soft, be sweet, but be discreet
Don't go off your beat
She's too close for comfort

Too close, too close for comfort, please not again
Too close, too close to know just when to say when
Be firm, be fair, be absolutely sure, beware
On your guard take care
While there's such temptation
One thing will lead to another
Too late to run for cover
She's much too close for comfort now

Too close, too close for comfort
She's too close, too close to know just when to say when
Be firm, be fair, be sure beware
On your guard take care
While there's such temptation
One things leads to another
Too late to run for cover
She's much too close for comfort now

(And just a little pinch of soda)
One thing leads to another
Too late to run for cover
She's much too close for comfort now

She's much
Too much
Much too much
She's too much, too close for comfort now

  2. S.... B....

What a great style and voice he had..I listen to his music everyday. I truly enjoyed his stage performance... and when he started dancing it was over!

  3. R.... ....

Sammy was so good that even as a hip teenager in the 70s I loved his work. This track was on my folks' album, and I played it until the needle wore through.

  4. N.... W....

The unforgettable sammy Davis, loved this mans voice, the shite he had to go through in his early life was unforgivable, hats off to you Sam , doubt if we’ll here the likes of that voice again !!! X

    N.... W....

    I agree

  5. A.... R....

I heard this on Peter Gunn, sung by Peggy Ann Taylor. She knocked it out of the park. Sammy ain't no slouch either.

  6. S.... 1....

    And..just a little pinch a soda!

Sounds great! Thanksss!!! #ClassicMonday #Swing

  24. S.... B....

    The ultimate sung version.

  25. M.... C....

Sounds like the horns are quoting Diz and Bird's 'Groovin High' at 1:43

  26. O.... S....

Michael Buble is ok, but he has an annoying lisp when you lsiten to him live

  35. F.... ....

Because he want's to? These aren't some sacred relic that can't be touched. If he wants to, so what?

  36. i.... ....

Every singer has horrible renditions of songs. Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, The Andrews Sisters, Bing Crosby.
I could name at least two songs per artist.

  37. C.... ....

But in all seriousness, I do love this song, this version and Dakota Staton's <3

  38. C.... ....

    Abstinence song XP

  39. j.... ....

@ambylious Well, there's always room for another artist's spin on a song, plus it helps to introduce great music to new audiences and generations. Also, Bule is being produced by the famous David Foster; enough said!

  40. j.... ....

@SuperBC10 Hi SuperBC10. Thanks for the nice compliment, however, I didn't upload this song. The credit goes to InSinatraWeSwing!

  41. S.... ....

@jsbach15 Just saw that episode and not having listened to anything decent for a while, I decided to see if it was on youtube. Unmistakeably SDJ. Thanks for putting it on here.

  42. M.... y....

im 19 and i can go from listening to r n b to hip hop to jazz to world culture indian, arabic, turkish to this classic 60s music
i consider myself as havin a good in taste wide range of music

  43. M.... y....

why does micheal bule copy these songs why can't he just leave these legendary song alone
    the orignal are best
hate when someone remake one of franks sinatra's or dean martin or sammys songs

  44. j.... ....

Caught this song during an episode of "Pan Am," last night. Always loved this song, and Sammy's rendition is perfection. Glad I got to see him in person once. I miss the "Rat Pack" days when talent was a requisite for musical fame and success.

  45. D.... ....

Wonderful example of a perfect match between a song and a performer's voice.
