Best DGD Song of All Time. I still get goosebumps. The song structure is magnificent, with so much build-up that I still cannot handle. The drum cadence mirroring the ticking of a rising rollercoaster, and at the top you can't help but scream.

New DGD is mediocre but I just dont see a comparison when looking at old DGD. This album was so innovative and far ahead of it peers that it just amazes me how people don't give it more credit. This and DBM II will always be their best work.

David, you gotta be in denial if you're trying to suggest that the band HASN'T taken on way more poppy elements since Tillian joined. Whether that's good or bad is up to the listener. I like Tillian personally, but I can definitely understand why someone wouldn't. I'll have to disagree with OP stating that DBM II is among their best work, though. That album always gave me the impression that it was thrown together rapidly as a last-minute "fuck it, one more" kinda deal. Plus - and maybe I'm just biased - I much prefer the emotional whines and belts on this album than the more gravel-y vocals seen in DBMII.

DGD were right to kick out johnny at the time. Yes he's one of the best singers on the planet, but he's got a past of being toxic within bands.
