Damned Things, The - Friday Night (Going Down In Flames) Lyrics
Write a note and keep the car running
Hide the evidence in front of their eyes
The heat of passion
In the sweat we're baptized
Cause I don't, no I don't
But if I have to, I'll do it on my own
And if you look for rhyme or reason
Your head will spin cause
All I want is another good time
It's Friday night
And Sunday's saints have gone away
They're out of sight
It's Friday night
And if we're all going down in flames
I think the devil just called my name
Cross the world in search of balance
The white whale keeps eluding me
We've got out hooks in
Now we're dragged by our feet
Don't ask if I know where it's going
Cause I don't, no I don't
But where I end up is where I'll rest my bones
And if you look for rhyme or reason
Your head will spin cause
All I want is another good time
It's Friday night
And Sunday's saints have gone away
They're out of sight
Cause all I want is another good time
It's Friday night
And if we're all going down in flames
I think the devil just called my name
My mind is racing
The room's in a spin
And I'm tired of knockin'
So just let me in
You know where I'm headin'
And I know where you've been
But that ain't gonna stop us from giving in
And if you look for rhyme or reason
Your head will spin cause
All I want is another good time
It's Friday night
And Sunday's saints have gone away
They're out of sight
Cause all I want is another good time
It's Friday night
And if we're all going down in flames
I think the devil just called my name
All I want is another good time
It's Friday night
So let my demons draw the line
Just stay on your side
All I want is another good time
It's Friday night
And if we're all going down in flames
I think the devil just called my name

NEW ALBUM 04-26-2019
I've been listening to this album for ten years. It's time for a new one guys.
All I want is another good time.
Your wish got fucking exhausted holy shit dude
My old band opened up for them in New Orleans. So much fun, great guys, and amazing band. I wish they'd make another album.
And guess what ? Go listen to "Cells"
Ironiclas. Got it
Fantastic!
Sounds like Foo Fighters!
Foo Fighters wishes
What?!!
Criminally underrated. Keith's versatility as a vocalist, and strength as a lyricist might be unmatched by any other voice in modern metal.
Ik im late, but Corey Taylor. Theyre pretty close imo
If The Damned Things still continued it would be my favorite band
They're back!
fall out boy and anthrax? Odd pairing but sounds awesome!!
I know this a year old comment but the drummer of this band (also drummer of FOB) is very active in the Metalcore scene
I've ben trying to find the name of this song for years and FINALY
singer sounds like nicke andersson in hellacopters
This group consists of the FOB lead guitarist and drummer, the main man behind Anthrax, the Volbeat guitarist and the Every Time I Die vocalist, yeah i'm trying to figure out how this worked out too.
Chad M it's fuckin amazing that's how
Chad M notably every guy in the band have performed in a multitude of projects aside from what they have been most known for prior. hurley and Buckley would have crossed paths due to hurley involvement in the hardcore scene around the time etid was gaining a bit of momentum following last night in town.
Everyone knows that, genius.
Chad M it's a super group
is there any other good bands like this plz😄😅😆
behemoth
Try most southern rock bands.
try out kill devil hill. its rex brown (bassist for pantera) band
The Outline.
I came here cuz this sh*t rocks.....
I came here because I Love Keith Buckley, Joe Trohman, Andy Hurley and Anthrax..the fact they became a band to make this monster of a CD is just icing on the cake.
Keith Buckley has the ripest voice and hearing Joe play to the ability he has was dope as fuck.
2 thumbs up plus a nuclear explosion on the song
This collaboration sounds way better than the bands these musicians came from. Wish they continued this project
@benjamin sachs I would never dis ETID, they're my favorite band of all time. I guess my comment came out wrong lol
halowaffles tbh fall out boy seems more like a brand than a band right now.,,,,
A new album should be on a way :)
Honestly it’s only the dudes from Fall Out Boy that went back to a worse situation. Anthrax and ETID are tight.
halowaffles think of etid as a modern day anthrax. The singer is phenomenal in his lyrica and delivery, the riffs are as sleazy and sludgy as can be done in good faith and on top of that (much like anthrax) they're a bunch of total goofballs from New York taking a decent genre and taking it to the best possible end.
Fall out boy had barely anything to do with this.
It doesn't sound like FOB at all.
Andy from FOB is the drummer and Joe plays lead and has a writing credit on every song on this record.
Did you listen the new FOB single "Century" that doesnt have anything of FOB at all
+Optimus Sum People forget that Fall Out Boy was sprung from the hardcore / metal scene to begin with, lol.
Optimussum well considering that most of the writing is from Fob members, that's not true
That's a good thing.
I love Fall Out Boy. But i came here because The Damned Things are awesome. FOB had little to do with it
WHEN ALTERNATIVE METAL AND ALTERNATIVE PUNK COLLIDES =D
Crazynezs you mean pop-punk, thrash metal, heavy metal, and hardcore right ?
If they like this, there's nothing wrong with whatever else they listen to. Diversity is the mother of perfection, you fucking plebeiate.
If I see another Fall Out boy hate comment I swear to God. Seriously? We respect your love of your music, sorry we listen to stuff that matters to us. Get a life.
I went to this band because I wanted to hear Joe's REAL talent (along with the rest of the guys in the band). No FOB bullshit guitar playing.
the only reason why this band matters are Keith Buckley and Josh Newton...and maybe Scott Ian. Everybody who is is into this because of Fall Out Boy really should start to listen to music and not to shitfuck.
You fucking people are nuts.... It's all about Scott Ian you fucking clutz
To be fair, the guitarist and drummer are the more rocker-ish of Fall Out Boy, :P
I'm just trying to hear more of Joe Trohman because I bought his signature guitar and like it. So I felt I owed him the respect.
my bar buds recommendation
Way better than i predicted them to be. Fucking love these guys!
it's all about anthrax boys
Fall Out Boy suck ass, but this band is so killer.
so underrated
I've decided this is the song I'm jamming to tomorrow haha bring on the 21st :'D
4 years later how was it?
Nope, ETID brought me here!
well i can honestly say i didnt enjoy that at all. i prefer anthrax and everytime i die.
I cannot comprehend you.
dat song geez
That's a shame. I'm here 'cause of Everytime I Die and Anthrax. Fall Out Boy aren't terrible, but there are far better reasons to be here.
just for scott....
It's all about Keith Buckley.
yeah i came here cause the guys from ANTHRAX are in this!!
Keith fucking Buckley. Scott fucking Ian. Killer fucking combination.
This is not Anthrax or Fall Out Boy so shut the fuck up and enjoy the music man!!!
I prefer Everytime I Die :)
Finally - an advert for something I actually want to buy: Billy Talent's new album :)
i checked out this band in SPITE of the fact that the guitarist and drummer of fall out boy are members.
Thank you TheMetalWorkout for posting this awesome song
I think I'm the only one who came here because of Anthrax. Fuck Fallout Boy...
Anthrax's past members? haha ... when was the last time you saw or heard of Anthrax?
I came because I went back to watch the old GSL seasons (GSL January 2011) and it had Little Darling on the track list.
...And that led me to this!
Pete Wentz isn't doing so bad. watch?v=Gzk1W_UFw0Y
Came only for Keith Buckley!
Who is a MAN and came here because Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano are in this band?
Oh and Keith Buckley is awesome on vocals!
rally against the degenerate culture of pop music mate, not fellow rock/metal people...
I am a fan of Fall Out Boy, Anthrax, and Every Time I Die already.
Naturally, I find this to be awesome.
approximately 4 to 5 million people a week, plus the 1,000+ that are in the arena.
I came because I heard Scott Ian's name and then followed by the fall out boy guys
I thought you wished for "Fall Out Boy". Doesn't make sense that your wish was granted when your wish was of "Fall Out Boy" to make more hard rock. "Fall Out Boy" included Pete and Patrick too my friend. ;P Sorry. Just had to correct that saying. xD
needs music video tbh
cant go wrong with fall out boy mate
actually i was turned off because of fallout boy but then i saw anthrax members were in this band and checked it out and its awesome.
I'm not gonna lie, I really miss Fall Out Boy. But this is good.
Before Fall Out Boy, the four members played in hardcore punk and powerviolence bands.
I HAVE DONE A DRUM COVER OF THIS SONG PLEASE VISIT MY CHANNEL!!!
when was fall out boy ever hardcore?
@LukeL401 Well, I love how this song is a mix of like - all their genres. Its kind of a new take on classic rock; with some metal riffs and a lighter (punk) drumline and low bass line.
Imo it's as good as 2012 rock gets. If you want to hear most modern rock, it's going to be hard rock or hard country. Because this is legit, and this is the shit. Takes a lot of talent to play songs that live up to the 70's & 80's rock. Kudos to these guys.
Scott Ian is the man! I love SOD, earlier Anthrax, but not at all sure about this. The tunes are solid and kinda fast-paced stoner rockish, but the vocals are way too wuss...
@503WaysToDie Gary Moore- Stormy Monday.
@RCM2309 don't forget The Darkness - Friday Night
(WWE) Vince McMahon has a new CD = Fear of a Large Bladder and Bad Lighting Pt 1.
this guitar solo kicks ass. And the bass during verses is awesome
Shit!!! Sounds like The Hellacopters!!!! MOTHER OF GOD!!!! Ni-Ni-Nick... Is that you singing???
@mpab1309 I listened to these guys because of Rob and Scott, haha.
This band kicks ass for one reason: SCOTT FUCKING IAN!!!!
@imcominforyou actually that would be NBC's Meet the Press with 63 seasons since 1947 and still running
Just FYI, WWE is the longest running episodic television show, i.e. the longest show to put out episodes every week.
This is such a fucking PUMP UP song I love it. FUCK YEAH
@jellyteddybear nothing he said implies that he knows about it so you can't say he watches it...knowing the name of the show doesn't mean you watch it.
@CBSAirsoft uhh a lot of ppl.. longest running show and if you know about it clearly you ;)
This should be the theme song for Lesnar vs. Overeem on UFC 141's Friday night broadcast!
@CBSAirsoft My comment exactly!
@lyokolion59 WWE needs to cease to exist. It's the biggest load of shit ever.
AWESOME!!!!
Go Damned things
@Darkbusterd Indeed.
@austinsorell Simple is good. it's easy to understand it's universal and other people can relate.
@brooksfishing96 Dammit! someone told that joke again!
@CBSAirsoft unfortunately is one of the top tv shows next to jershey shore. sad world i know but we all live in it
my friday song :]
@SmashBrosfreak you know shes gonna have to start suckin it to pay back whoever the dumb fuck was that signed her lol... someone musta beat him with a sock full of nickels for that one!
@300daysandnights neither are 95% of any other shows on television.
@lyokolion59 WWE is like Slash... it isn't real.
This came on the radio on the way back from Friday Night Magic xD.
@residualbill i know right
...>.> Who is Rebecca Black? o.o;
@NewNoise02 An AWESOME vocalist who writes awesome lyrics as well, I love him :D
@jakiepoosguurrll44 Keith Buckley. Lead singer of Every Time I Die.
