First time I heard the cult was in 1985. I found their sound was unique for the time and still do to this day.

My favorite song from the album 'love' from 1985, the 80's were the gold era of rock and metal, I was introduced to the cult with this album, and since then I love all the albums that came till 1994

The debut album was the groundbreaker. Haunting, danceable rock and roll.  

Then onto mysticism and motorbikes and The Cult became just another rock band.

Both Dreamtime (the debut) and this album (Love) were great. And they were super into mysticism all the way through.
But then they got producer Rick Rubin. I still like Electric, but yeah not as good.

Love was a great album , but i think they really found their identity w/ Electric , and matured as song writers w/ Sonic Temple (IMO their best work)

For me, nothing topped their debut. The sound was innovative and fresh...scary and haunting.

This is a trippy video! First time I get to see it! The Cult Love Album to me is a classic it has so many great songs and their earlier gothic style rock which was atmospheric and I really liked. This album is available now as a deluxe edition! The Cult are probably the last British band that I cared about. After them there was really nothing.
