To be honest this was the only guy that was chasing after the true bad guy.

Sega just said “hey let’s give sonic his princess peach” sonic really did not knew what was going on.

Silver basically was a mistake. Mepheliss should have foreseen that he was a bad idea to go in the past with him. Think about it. Silver basically helped sonic save Elise and he went back to the future to defeat iblis. He basically did nothing but helped shadow and sonic. And caused Elise’s death.

This was why shadow was basically saving the sonic universe. Sonic wasn’t shit without shadow and he still is now. It also sucks that we don’t get any other flashbacks of Maria or quotes or memories of her anymore. They should really make cutscene of shadow remembering Maria. He knows and remembers everything by now.

06 may have been a failure as a game, but Shadow's character was *just right*. Not an edgelord he was in Shadow the Hedgehog, but rather simply calm, quiet and focused. His gameplay also strayed away from being a carbon copy of Sonic's, though unfortunately not completely.
