Crosby, Stills & Nash - Chicago Lyrics
So your brother's bound and gagged and they've chained him to a chair
Won't you please come to Chicago just to sing
In a land that's known as freedom how can such a thing be fair
Won't you please come to Chicago for the help that we can bring
Rearrange the world
It's dying
To get better
Politicians sit yourselves down there's nothing for you here
Won't you please come to Chicago for a ride
Don't ask Jack to help you 'cause he'll turn the other ear
Won't you please come to Chicago or else join the other side
We can change the world
It's dying
If you believe in justice
If you believe in freedom
Let a man live his own life
Rules and regulations who needs them
Open up the door
Somehow people must be free I hope the day comes soon
Won't you please come to Chicago show your face
From the bottom of the ocean to the mountains of the moon
Won't you please come to Chicago no one else can take your place
We can change the world
Rearrange the world
It's dying
If you believe in justice
If you believe in freedom
Let a man live his own life
Rules and regulations who needs them.

If you don't know the "Chicago 7" story that inspired this song or the Ohio State shooting story (CSN&Y "Ohio" song) please look them up least we forget, I feel fortunate to have seen CSN 6 or 7 times and CSN&Y 3 times they were and are the story tellers of our generation.

It's sad when time were so uncertain back than. Now they seems like they were the good old day time today are so advanced and fucked up in every eay. Glad i grew up in the 60's. Peace
Some things don’t change. Its dying. That will happen. Everything dies, but we are strong. Keeping the struggle alive is what keeps us connected to life. Politics are dismal today, but the young people today are as vibrant, as vital as we were in the 60s and 70s. From what I’ve seen, with every generation, increasing numbers of children grow up knowing that this struggle is being waged on this living planet for their sake, for the sake of our planet’s future.
More and more people today understand that we are better off without living in hate, that we all benefit from living in a world where everybody is important, that real solutions are possible. Incredible as it may seem, its working! Maybe there will always be some people who just don’t get it. We completely miss the point if we let a few disillusioned souls continue to polarize us for their own destructive schemes. We don’t want to let ourselves be defined by our failures.
The door is open. We are human beings. Let’s treat others like they are people too.
This song rocks!
Viene del circo porque lo escuchan todos dicen jajaja
Pls guys help me. Who samples the beat for an very famous 90s hip hop track? Pls it stuck in my head i think since the 90s. XD Just kidding. Rly seriously it stucks forever in my head and i want it out so pls folks help me.
I wish the hippies succeeded the world needs help.
They need to add lyrics about crucifying antifa on telephone poles.
Trump is our last hope to rid us the deep state. I can’t believe how many Americans have been brainwashed to not see this.
Back in the sixties ,the good guys fought for what they believe in. Back then the left in the US had heart and balls. They didn't jabber about cultural appropriation and crap like that. They tried to stop a war. Now VILE TRUMP and his gang of oil billionaires ,war mongering ,racists, fascists, rapists and assholes are leading our earth to demise by CO2 emission and the good guys are silent. Go to the streets and protest!!!
Finally something is happening in England- Extinction rebellion.
It is Graham Nash's song but I hear backup vocals from David Crosby at least. Stephen Stills (who is originally from Dallas) did not want to go to Chicago after the 1968 Democratic Convention. Graham wrote this song to Stephen begging him to "Come to Chicago no one else can take your place, Show your face". They were all anti-war and Graham felt that by going "We can change the world". Powerful stuff that we could use today.
Una de las mejores canciones de los cuatro fantástico. En particular la mejor
The struggle goes on.
Too bad we couldn't gather up all the politicians stick them in the room and make them listen to 60's and 70's music 24/7 New Age brainwash?
I mean this song is allways updated with the time that we live in

Though your brother's bound and gagged
And they've chained him to a chair
Won't you please come to Chicago
Just to sing

How can such a thing be fair
Won't you please come to Chicago
For the help that we can bring
We can change the world
Re-arrange the world
It's dying ... to get better
Politicians sit yourself down
There's nothing for you here
Won't you please come to Chicago
For a ride
Don't ask Jack to help you
'Cause he'll turn the other ear
Won't you please come to Chicago
Or else join the other side
We can change the world
Re-arrange the world
It's dying ... if you believe in justice
It's dying ... and if you believe in freedom
It's dying ... let a man live his own life
It's dying ... rules and regulations, who needs them

"rules and regulations...who needs them".......It has been nearly 50 years since this song....come to Chicago now,,,MURDER CAPITAL OF THE COUNTRY,,,then rethink your lyrics. :(
OMG what memories...
The reason I found this song us actually pretty funny...
So basically I was watching a history programme in school and the song sounded really good so I wrote down some of the lyrics and now I'm here and wow :')
it was the Trial of the Chicago Seven, the govt was trying to prosecute all the organizers at once, Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, David Dellinger, Tom Hayden, Rennie Davis, John Froines, and Lee Weiner—charged by the federal government with conspiracy, inciting to riot, and other charges related to anti-Vietnam War and countercultural protests that took place in Chicago, Illinois, on the occasion of the 1968 Democratic National Convention. Look it UP...........READ
Well, almost. It was the trial of the Chicago Eight, and Judge Julius Hofman argued with Bobby Seale, cited him with contempt, and had him bound, gagged, and chained to his chair in court. Then he separated his trial and sentenced him to two years in jail for contempt of court. That's what the "your brother's bound and gagged, and they've tied him to a chair" line in the song is about. Bobby Seale was the vice chair and co-founder of the Black Panthers, and the originator of what became the HeadStart program.
Oh How Typical !!!!! start shit and skidaddle !!!
905Alive I was there.
La verdad solo estoy aquí por Jony B vs Arkano
Crazy to me that the people who listen to this music are mostly Trump Supporters lmao
I guess they like the line "or else join the other side."
What's wrong with being a Trump supporter? Its a zillion times better than the alternative. Being a totally stupid. clueless, brain dead idiot asshole piece of crap & that other word and thinking the other side is so much better. Having IT would have killed this country.
Please come to Chicago...so you can dodge all the gang-banger's bullets.
Good thing Sick-ago is a "gun-free zone", huh? lol

Not Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. It's Graham Nash from his solo album "Songs For Beginners."
" your brothers bound and gagged and chained to a chair " they're talking about Bobby Seal
El principio de la canción. <3
This was actually written and released by Graham Nash first. Later "covered" by CSNY and CSN
This can be the new rallying cry for 2018 if we want it to be. Old, young, it doesn't matter. We can change the world- it can't get much worse
This is Graham Nash solo, without Stephen Stills, David Crosby or Neil Young.
This song is about having balls, and doing something about it!
I feel like it's 1968 again. Won't you please get involve and vote in 2020 or else join the other side.
Don't ask jack to help you cause hel turn the other ear, love that

Drag, reading some of these angry comments listen to this song do you hear the words the music?
This is the original song by Graham Nash and not by CSN&Y!

Who has the remake of this by Graham Nash called Ohio/aka/Chicago? It's from the soundtrack of the Greg Palast movie
