Crosby, Bing - My Melancholy Baby Lyrics

Come to me my melancholy baby.
Cuddle up and don't be blue.
All your fears are foolish fancies, baby.
You know dear that I'm in love with you.

Every cloud must have a silver lining.
Wait until the sun shines through.
Smile, my honey dear
While I kiss away each tear
Or else I shall be melancholy too.

Every cloud must have a silver lining.
Wait until the sun shines through.
Smile, my honey dear
While I kiss away each tear
Or else I shall be melancholy too.

My mom used to sing this, she had such a beautiful voice. Miss you, Mom.

Granddaddy was born in 1899. Growing up he always sang to sister & I. This was one of his favorites. Took me a while to find the version most suited to his style and Bing seems to be it. He fostered my appreciation for good music as my Grandmother (his wife), did for art. Both long since gone but in my heart forever.

My father always used to sing this song - he would have been about 30 when this movie was made.
