Eighteen by Alice Cooper wasn't written to be a Heavy Metal song ever! It is a REBELLION song actually. But Creed successfully converted a raw political shock'rock song and mske it a heavy metal song. That takes SKILL!

Terrible cover. Nothing improved, they just added some gross sounding distortion to the guitar, and Scott Stapp's deafman's imitation of Eddie Vedder. And yeah, I've been anti-Creed since 97', so no need for your b******* about me jumping on a bandwagon, you're all little punk ass b****** with no taste. Alice Cooper's version is superior by a long shot!

I think most sane people can agree this is a fantastic cover, it’s time to put the “Creed sucks” memes to rest. There’s greater evil in the music industry now like Maroon 5 and Imagine Dragons.

While not the biggest Creed fan, I actually like this cover. Mark Tremonti is a very underrated guitarist.

@Joe R haha....I wasn't comparing players directly, I only claimed that it is stylistically compatible with the likes of 'brutal planet'. the solo in this song is beginner's level of abuse of harmonic minor scale....very incompetent and easy to notice for anyone with more than one bit of experience in listening or playing of any sort of music.

yeah creed is not a good band, but this cover is amazing! and yeah tremonti is a definitely a good player, the songwriting and derivative sound was the problem with creed never tremonti!

I find it very strange when already famous artists cover very famous songs but make them sound just alike... John mayer's free falling was so different than Tom Petty's and thats what made it so good. This... They're clearly trying to sound just like Alice Cooper. Sound like Creed. You're not Alice.

I have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. Megadeth covered "No More Mr. Nice Guy", and it basically sounded like a heavier version of the original. However, you could still hear Megadeth's stamp all over that song -- the super-tight riffing especially. It's kind of similar to what Creed did with "I'm 18" -- a slightly heavier version, but I don't think anyone will mistake Creed for being an Alice Cooper cover band.

I come here from time to time, when i stumble upon Offsprings "the kid's aren't alright" and miss this track right after because of the Faculty OST...

Alice Cooper all the way. They played it hard, just too "creedy" voice wise. Scott is built for different sounds. This cover doesn't quite do anything but get covered up by the original.
