Courteeners, The - Next Time You Call Lyrics
Back down
Wind your neck in
Feel the paranoia set in
All in all
A normal day for you
A life of people saying "Yes"
Has left you in a right mess
All in all
A normal day for you
You know the feelings
That I have for you
You try and reel me in
And then you choose
To make me wait a week
But I'm not sure I will be
There next time you call
Because I hate your love
You know that I hate your love
I know that I hate your love
Baby, I hate your love
Come down
Buckle up
She presses her lip to the cup
All in all
A normal day for you
Sit straight watch your back
Count the cards that have
Been stacked
All in all
A normal day for you
You know the feelings
That I have for you
You try and reel me in
And then you choose
To make me wait a week
And then perhaps you will see
But I'm not sure I will be
There next time you call
[x2]
Because I hate your love
You know that I hate your love
I know that I hate your love
Baby, I hate your love

People still slag this album off and I still don't understand it. I love it. Just like I've loved all the other albums. Each album has meant something different to me and represented a different period of my life. 'Cavorting' was the song of my youth but now tunes like that just wouldn't connect with me. Maybe it's a personal thing but I can't fault this stuff. Just like noel's new stuff, it's no longer 'cigarettes and alcohol' but a cigar and a big fuck off trumpet. Doesn't get the recognition it deserves in my opinion and I realised that at Heston park when the 15/16 year olds where only there for one album and probably were not even around around at the time it came out. I dunno. I just don't get it.
*heaton. But oh yeah, the videos shit.
Does it matter that those 15/16 year olds weren't around at the time it came out? Doesn't that just prove that music is timeless and doesn't define and era? Doesn't it prove that 15/16 year olds don't like the shit that's out now and appreciate good music? It should be praised that teenagers are getting up off their arses and are going to see music live
God Bless The Band
