In 1978 Elvis Costello played at Kent State University. I couldn't afford a ticket. In 1970 Allison Beth Krause was an American honor student at Kent , when she was killed by soldiers of the Ohio Army National Guard in the Kent State shootings, while protesting against the invasion of Cambodia and the presence of the National Guard on the Kent State campus. Although the spelling of the name is slightly different I have always been haunted by the lyrics "Alison, I know this world is killing you.

My name is Allisson and my teacher always teased my classmates. Every single one of them except for me. And now you may be thinking, “ That’s nice of him...” And tbh it was.... until one day this kid in my class asked him why he never teased me and he said I was special...I was like 😨🤭😊 then he put this song on and then after repeating the song a couple times THE WHOLE CLASS STARTED SINGING and as if thats not embarrassing enough two other classes heard us and THEY STARTED SINGING TOO!!!!!😱😱😣😫☹️😰And somehow ( I was in 6th grade btw) the 7th graders heard that song and they started singing it!!! Then there was prep rally and we had games that we could participate in. I wanted to play one so I came to the middle of the gym where other people were at and suddenly BOOM!!
