Cooper Temple Clause, The - Let's Kill Music Lyrics

We dare you to mean a single word you say
Feel free if you've time to try and change our minds
You might wanna duck before you lose your head
It seems we're the ones who's got the guts to bleed
It's not number one who will come out alive
It's the freak in the corner with his eyes on fire
Let's kill music before it kills us all

Love this album one of most underrated bands of last 15 years. They kick f ing ass, we dare you to mean a single word you say, let's kill music. Shame they wernt bigger, better than kings of leon and arctic monkeys in my book. I got some ruff acoustic jams on here. Put in Ross Heathorn and check them out. Flattery is addiction song, theres couple of conspiracy tunes, no love songs. Peace people they just raw 1 take no effects u can get the picture tho peeps

  2. T.... R....

    I miss this band.

  3. B.... A....

Love this song. Saw them in Bristol back in the day. And the factory scene reminds me of Saturday mornings in band rehearsals. *Sighs*

  4. j.... ....

This song live was something special!

  5. R.... R....

An absolutely wonderful snapshot of English suburbia from the turn of the century. I've always been a fan of the band but when i watch this vid back It's so evocative.

  8. M.... ....

Saw them playing the Quad in 2001/2002-ish and it was one of the best small venue gigs I've ever witnessed. The energy was something else. I walked out barely able to speak and drenched in sweat.

  9. o.... h....

I loved this band, I saw them live twice In 2002 at Shepherds Bush & the Astoria, one of the best bands to ever come out of the UK & ofcourse like all the best they were totally underrated!!!

  10. M.... ....

I remember seeing them play the Quad at LSE, and it was one of the best small gigs I've ever been too. I came out of it with such a raspy voice from all the shouting along.

  11. K.... Y....

Better than kasabian. i saw them supporting embrace nov01. then again feb02. Such a great band

  18. G.... S....

this band did really have talent..I was really enjoying their stuff..shame they are not on anymore

  19. b.... ....

It's a shame this band dont exist anymore!

  20. S.... M....

Utterly utterly brilliant track....I couldn't dig this more with a JCB...

  21. W.... ....

Team Cooper sat with fingers crossed in 2012!

  22. J.... H....

    I still do! :-)

  23. R.... ....

I wouldn't say they are crap. Their first album is still immense, all thanks to Karloff. I must admit they have went downhill after his departure. Anyone watching this should check out the band Black Onassis, it's Karloff's new band. Ben from the Coopers sings on the track "Brain", sounds fucking mega

    R.... ....

thanks heaps bro fucking mad track

    R.... ....

Just checked out ur recommendation. Superb. Sounds across between Stone Roses and U.N.K.L.E.

  24. N.... C....

Havn't listen to this song in years. Nice to hear still sounds as good as when I was younger.

  25. R.... R....

Kasabian really are crap arent they

    R.... R....

Not really... depends their songs... Kasabian 1st album with Karloff as one of the three co-leaders was really just as good, but then Karloff was fired by a more ambitious Pizzorno (and Meighan) after early sessions in the 2nd LP and so then Kasabian became less eelekrautronized oriented and less essential... at least it's my opinion

  26. J.... O....

This song is amazing :D, shame i was only 6 when this came out :/

  27. A.... S....

@dlfitz81 I disagree the album "Make this your own" is equally as stunning, more refined, just not as raw as "see this through and leave"

  28. b.... ....

    The Coopers are british royalty!

  29. S.... ....

hey just after 4:15 the father seems really to be a hunter of fresh female!

Think it's more to do with the monotony of everyday life and things lost
