Cooper, Alice - Working Up A Sweat Lyrics
Aw, When you touch there, honey
Makes my blood perspire
You got my body flaming
Like a California fire
Pulsing, pounding, pushing
Heatwave in my brain
Smolder in my soul
You got me workin' up a sweat
Workin' up a sweat
I've been playing all night long
Time I was gettin' home
But I've got no place to get
Spontaneous combustion
But your approach to friction
An unnatural act
Bells I hear ain't fire drills
I hope you understand
It's a bona fide five alarmer
Melting in my hand
You got me workin' up a sweat
Workin' up a sweat
I've been playing all night long
Time I was gettin' home
But I've got no place to get
Workin' up a sweat
Workin' up a sweat
Workin' up a sweat
Workin' up a sweat
Yeah, yeah
I've been playing all night long
'Bout time I was gettin' home
But I've, ooh
Dante's famed inferno
Was a trip to hell and back
But you and a bottle in a cheap hotel
Screams pyromaniac
Bandages came off today
Really feeling sick
The hardest part's explainin'
All those blisters on my - nose!
Workin' up a sweat
Workin' up a sweat
I've been playing all night long
Time I was gettin' home
But I've got no place to get
Workin' up a sweat
Workin' up a sweat
Workin' up a sweat
Workin' up a sweat
I've been playing all night long
'Bout time I was gettin' home
But I've, ooh
Workin' up a sweat
Workin' up a sweat
Workin' up a sweat
Workin' up a sweat

Cooper, Alice Working Up A Sweat Comments
Still kicks ass in 2019!!!
Awsome record cooper style
Best work by the original line-up. No doubt.
Great album, great songs and got almost no airplay. Weird. I have my pristine copy in my room with all the art. I have two albums not in storage, Muscle of Love and an AC/DC album signed by Angus Young, eat your heart out. LOL. One of the best parts of being old is having grown up with this music.
Great song about f#ing!
Rock & roll! Yeah!
Crazy little child
Never got to see
All the pretty things in life
Ahd him put away
And nothing they could say
Could ever make the pieces fit
Oh well, daddy-o was rich
Mama was a bitch
Living wasn't easy in between
Behind the silent screen
Jackson in his teens
Was planning his escape
*
He was a crazy little child
He rooled inside the playground
And grimy faced
He watched the others cry
Winos were his friends
And when he talked to them
They said, "Jackson, boy
They'll get you by and by"
Depression set in
Desperate, cool and quick
Jackson learned the ropes
Out on the street
Little candy stores
Just pickin' locks and doors
Just practice
For a two bit future thief
So Jackson went to Ritz
And everyone was hip
Ritz ran all the rackers
There in town
Muscle of Love is the seventh studio album by Alice Cooper, released in 1973. It is the final studio album recorded by the original Alice Cooper band.
Great and latest album from the Great Band Alice Cooper. I bought this album in 2013 and I loved it. Notice the great beat of Neal with all his skill and originality. Greetings to Neal, Michael, Dennis and Glen (I miss you man!).

This is a great song! I just don't get it when people say what a weak album Muscle of Love is. I've owned a copy since it was released, and I think I like some of these tunes more than ever- almost 45 years later!
This album does not get the airtime it deserves!!
Lived it, loved it.
man i haven't hear this in a long time..you can really start hearing dick wagners contribution pre-welcome to my nightmare....great songs..
I grew up on Alice!
Check out my band. GLITTER DOGS. 70's style melodic rock

This whole album - this song and Never Been Sold Before being good examples - has quite a straightforward all American solid rock approach to it. Very much just a fun record to have playing at those wild and crazy block parties back in those days! Back then it was really just about letting loose from a hard days work, hence the title - Working Up A Sweat....with some tongue-in-cheek lyrical humor (i.e. "bandages come off today...i'm really feelin' sick...the hardest part is explaining all those blisters on my [ _ _ ck] , 'nose'....lol!) added for good outrageous measure
Good old tune gonna add to my workout playlist…☮🔥
AC ROCKS!
Yea, !!! alice coop

Alice Cooper said in a recent interview that Frank Sinatra was the first person to refer to him as 'Coop'.
