First album I ever bought as a 13 year old or thereabouts, and still an absolute classic. Sounds as good now as it did then.

My Step Dads name is Steven. He loves this song because his name is the chorus. I told him the song is actually about the moment in all our lives when our inner child dies. Most people don't remember the exact moment its usually during a string of unfortunate life changing events. I lost mine when I stood up against someone I feared to protect someone I loved. Thats when I knew I had to let my innocence go. Because during that moment I felt a deep smoldering fire inside of me that was covered by a silly little boy to shy for his own good. I lost my inner child to a inferno that was raging in the deep darkest part of my soul i knew I wasn't necessarily a bad human being but i would never be a angel. I always knew that the light wasn't gonna shine on me like it did the other kids. I always feel alone and people have a hard time relating to me. Its like swimming into a School of Fish try to relate only to be avoided by the group for sure. Only to once again

I remember I told a friend I liked Alice Cooper, He said really, turned down the lights and put this song, wtf, very cool song, that was 34 years ago, still sends chills down my spine.

Alice cooper was my first favorite musician seeing him in concert at the age of 10. I got into him because of his appearance on the Muppet Show Halloween special. It kinda just snowballed after that haha

Alice Cooper made a movie cold Welcome To My Nightmare and I saw it in the movie theater in 1975 I was 16 years old it was a 12 showing midnight movies that used to have. Back in the day. We were all smoking pot and drinking beers. The monster Stephen came out when they was singing the song scared the heck out of me. Love that stuff it was good old times

I remember my dad and older brothers playing this when I was a kid the age of 5 or 6. This album terrified the hell out of me but loved it at the same time........ Now I am a metal head bass player who still in his 40's blasts this loud enough for the neighborhood to enjoy

My best friend died less than a year ago. He introduced me to Alice Cooper and to this song when I was a child, and I always loved it. In his last months, while he was sick, I bought us tickets to go see Alice play the Olympia Theatre in Dublin. Despite his best efforts, he was too sick to attend and he was so disappointed. He died not long after from his health issues.

This is the first time I've listened to Alice again since he died, and I can feel him here with me singing along. I can put his death aside 99% of the time but, hearing Alice, it's all I can feel. I miss you George.

Bought this album in 1975 and love it as much today in 2019 where I will be 59 years old. I listen to "Years ago" and "Steven" over and over - must have been hundreds and hundreds of times over the years. It's still so touching, sad and amazing. I truly love it to death. Definitely Alice Cooper's Master Piece. The guitar work of Hunter and Wagner are second to none. So melodic, powerful and just so right!!
