Conway Twitty - After All The Good Is Gone Lyrics
Today I got a letter from someone
Just a friend we knew some time ago
And as I read between the lines I began to realize
He didn't know I lost you a long long time ago.
Everything I do is always wrong
I'm livin' a lie and there's no need in tryin'
To keep hangin' on after all the good is gone.
[Instrumental]
Lord, I wish that I could die and there's no use in tryin'
To keep hangin' on after all the good is gone...

Songwriters: TWITTY, CONWAY
Such a deep tune, too. CT was the best!
Huey, was the BEST STEEL Guitar MAN in country music.. Conway was lucky to have him..
families should stick together cause we are living in the last days.we are in revelation. the bible is for filling itself. God help each and every person out there and God bless all and good night.
Cheetah Tackett Your intentions are good but it's simply not true. I used to be a deacon in a fundamentalist church and I picked that book apart with countless hours of research. We've been lied to brother and I can prove it conclusively. It's wishful thinking but it's not true
conway at his finest!! the most spectacular song ever!
For my Patsy...love and miss you.xxxx
This recording would be so much better without that annoying organ track.
+okieblood Why is it annoying?
Well, it's only my opinion. I like Conway, and I'm not anti-organ. But, it in this mix, it is very distracting to me. It's almost as if it was added to take up space. Personally, I like a song to have some space. And, the organ is sustaining over (or stepping on) some really nice guitar and steel licks. I like the song, but I would rather listen to it without the organ.
+okieblood Fair enough.. :-]
After all the Good Is Gone💔
Easily one of the most amazing singing voices I've ever heard!
I remember these songs from Grandma and Mom and Dad playing these!!!! The best of times 70's and 80's
CONWAY TWITTY ONE OF THE BEST COUNTRY SINGERS EVER !!
+Denise Brooms you are 100% correct

Love !!!!!!!
Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Conway Twitty.
Love some Conway !!!
Classic,wonderful memories!
So im Nachhinein betrachtet: er war wohl der größte Entertainer unserer Zeit
seriously folk, did Conway ever sing a bad song?
I kind of don't like his version of danny boy. Likely just my own prefrence.
No sir he did not. I will answer your question correctly....LOL
No!!!!!
fantastic song
My goodness, I just love this song...
Yep.I like all of Conway's songs.I can't think of one that I do not like.Amazing.Truly amazing.
James Avery he's the greatest
I never was fortunate enough to see Conway in concert. He was my Mom's favorite singer, and she saw him 3 times in concert, between '78-'82. I have to admit that I have always enjoyed the songs he did prior to 1980, more than the latter years before his death. I guess it's because those Country songs of the '60s & '70s were what I was raised on.
+Will Horting your mom was one lucky lady we would have loved to have saw him in concert I heard he really put on a great show
This is what country music should be. Love and miss you Conway. You were and still are the best!!
That Conway's da boss, No?
your absolutely right. this song has a pound of soul
this is white R&B
For me personally, after " It's Only Make Believe", this is my favorite Conway Twitty song....thanks so much for posting.
A #1 hit for Conway Twitty on the Country & Western charts. It was the 379th #1 C&W song of the Rock Era. It also hit #1 on the Canadian C&W charts.
damn, If i would have lived when he lived, I would have gone to see him perform.
excellent, just damn good, folks, this is how it's done. thanks for sharing to us who hasn't yet uploaded any... COA ...
Best singer ever miss you
tare it up conway
Conway Twitty showed that may sing country same good like on his young
years Rock N" Roll
conway., you had a story to tell not in a book but in songs you sang. i wish all music was country, because there is a story there.modern music was like this at one time i lived through the 60s. songs then had meaning and you could have understood what the hell it was about.but .,..now....it seems the worlds gone mad..sad.. not me ..the young of today are being led into a music world of senseless sounds of spiritual dance themes
I was a little kid.....I probably should not have understood everything he sang about, but I did. And I love him....CONWAY IS MY ALL TIME FAV...love him so much....miss what he still had left to give us.
@gegarlt
