Collins, Judy - Run Lyrics

In a country that pretends to learn
From tragedy and pain
Revolution is a never-ending game
The cards are dealt
The odds are known
The winners hide away
Till fortune brings them round again
It's a wound that seems too large to mend

I want to run
Away from it
I want to run
Don't wanna stay for it
I want to run
Far as I can go
But it's not the answer
I want to run
Because I've seen enough
I want to run
But I can't give up
I won't run

There are those that I believe
Have courage fit to lead
But they say the damage has been done
And that all that's left to do
Is hope and pray for miracles
They've decided that the darkness has won
As if blind to each morning's sun

Makes me wanna run
Away from it
I want to run
Don't wanna stay for it
I want to run
Far as I can go
But it's not the answer
I want to run
But I'm never through
I want to run
There's more that I can do
I won't run
I won't run

I wanna run
Away from it
I want to run
Don't wanna stay for it
I want to run
Far as I can go
But it's not the answer
I want to run
But I'm never through
I want to run
There's more that I can do
I won't run
I won't run
I won't run
I won't run

Back when it was a sailing song, did they sing it when changing tack?

A Bullgine was a little steam engine that ran up and down a narrow gauge track on a pier or dock side, hauling goods to and from sailing ships.

I have looked for this for YEARS; heard a version by the now-defunct band "Eaglebone Whistle" when I was at Texas A&M in College Station. I've Googled m'fingers off trying to find them or ANY of their music. THANK YOU!

Me too, I had a tv show audio taped in the sixties, might have been Grand Ole Opry ( a rare showing here) and recall two guys singing East Virginia fast, also.
