Cocteau Twins - Pitch The Baby Lyrics

I’m so happy to care for you
I only want to love you and
Slip me home as we seal us in
You and that land which one dresh are leaving
Hold me onto a mess a plenty
Me and that land should grow, end to a hard part
Meant a Christmas that's me and a friend
I only want to love you
I only want to love you
I only want to love you
I only want to love you

I’m so happy to care for you,
I only want to love you

I’m so happy to care for you,
I only want to love you

I'm heart, and in space the plane
On fill our hearts' ascension(inside you)
It's heft driven since the urge
To sell the place isn't very, very, very big

I'm heart, and in space the plane
On fill our hearts' ascension(inside you)
It's heft driven since the urge
To sell the place isn't very, very, very big

I'm heart, and in space the plane
On fill our hearts' ascension
(I only want to love you)
It's heft driven since the urge
To sell the place isn't very, very, very big

I'm heart, and in space the plane
On fill our hearts' ascension
(I only want to love you)
It's heft driven since the urge
To sell the place isn't very, very, very big

  10. A.... R....

This was definitely their grunge phase.

    A.... R....

Uh, no. Listen to Garlands. Crunch, angry, goth-doom bliss.

  11. N.... H....

Great song of a great LP. Can't believe John Peel didnt rate it

  12. c.... p....

omg they made a song about Peaches 😍😍

  13. G.... P....

For a band often accused of making music in their own bubble outside of contemporary trends, this track was as 1990 as it gets. It fit PERFECTLY with the baggy/Madchester stuff that was everywhere at that moment. You danced to it exactly the same way in the clubs as the Mondays/Roses/Farm/Charlatans, it has the same loose shuffle. AND it wasn't produced by a contemporary dance music producer, as most of those records were. Robin = funky

  14. W.... B....

Beautiful. The whole record was stunning.

  15. J.... L....

oh, this is one of those instant find and downloads, I guess. Well, bye!

  16. K.... ....

you can hear the trip hop influence before trip hop was even invented

    K.... ....

ah no, it was well up and running by then, it just hadn't crystallised. I don't know if baggy/Madchester was a direct influence on Robin but it was all around him in 1990, that groove was everywhere and in a lot of the clubbier Madchester records of '90, the breaks and samples being used were the same ones we were going to hear in trip-hop, just slowed down. So it was there in the records of '90, very consciously. The same spirit and groove just hadn't been slowed down, stripped down and intensified yet

    K.... ....

    @Gavin Paisley Interesting

    K.... ....

@Karmacoma I can see from your name that you like the Bristol sound, so you might know already Smith And Mighty. A Bristol production duo, they were making records from 1988 down there that you can hear the trip-hop in. They produced the first Massive Attack release, in '88 and a few others that have early elements of trip-hop in them, check em out

O início desta música faz chorar, não dá para entender, mas se explica, é espetacular
Agora, imaginem em sua época o prazer de escutar tamanha pérola de criatividade na sua rádio favorita a qualquer hora do dia

  18. A.... L....

I love this song like oxygen.

  19. J.... V....

Just discovered these guys last night while watching “The Sunday’s” videos. I’m a Canadian Scottish and English born 87’ baby. I couldn’t figure out while listening to my first song why I couldn’t understand the lyrics; my Urquhart side should have known. Fantastically perfect music. Wow.

    A.... ....

    I love the sundays :D

    A.... ....

Congratulations on your new discovery. May it open many doors to other great bands (you might like Lush, for instance, either from their 4AD phase or later, harder "Lovelife")

This is one of the "tapes" that i had with me during my 20's. I ran from coast to coast with this in whatever cheap tape deck I had. It still brings back those memories of driving 1970's muscle cars cross country. This, new order, the police, INXS, the Church, some heavy classic rock I can't speak of.

PhukIT1865 , now imagine a no English speaker person. We don't understand a thing.
But Cocteau twins were never a problem to be loved.

And anyway, half or the lyrics out there, I don't like.

    P.... ....

Thats part of the reason I like their songs. In a weird way I like not to not what she's singing

    P.... ....

    @PhukIT1865
    “A ‘doing’ word” ❤️

    P.... ....

    dread true
She said in an interview something to the effect of~
words being unworthy of the songs.

    P.... ....

It's like Underworld. They have dance music but Karl Hyde's lyrics make no sense.

  43. Q.... ....

I remember listening to Treasures on my sister's shitty walkman with dollar store headphones when I was ten. I sat on the steps of the ladder on the bunkbed my dad built. I laid back, my legs hanging from the bottom rung, back to the mattress. Calm rays from the summer evening caressed my face. I was haunted as I drifted into a trance-like sleeplessness. My dreams were disturbed. My imaginations unsettled me. My brother and my father were in a screaming match downstairs, but here I had this divine melody pushing into my brain to drown out the noise. To drown out and influence my thoughts. I think my brain was changed then. I think it took on some properties. My extreme loneliness was suffocating.... All I could think was... If everyone heard what I was hearing. Things would be good. Things would stop. Heaven or Las Vegas is another in my personal discoveries.

    Q.... ....

💕💕💕 I love your anecdote. I relate to it deeply and also hope more people discover this cathartic music.
